Christmas hauls thread

Post by Ackula »

So what did you get? This is the annual Xmas Haul Thread. Brag about what you got, or complain about what you didn't get. It is cathartic, really I promise.

I got the following...

4th Gen iPod Nano
$15 iTunes gift card
Animated Sentinel Prime
Animated Swoop
Animated Shockwave
Animated Ultra Magnus
Animated Oilslick
Universe Galvatron
Classics Legends Megatron
Clone Wars Asajj Ventress figure (CGI version)
half gallon of Smirnoff Vodka
Guitar Hero boxers

..... I didn't get Universe Cheetor which pisses me off, we looked everywhere for the past few weeks and have not been able to find one =/

25th Anniversary Prime.
Both Target exclusive Universe twopacks (both with money I got before christmas but was still christmas money
Movie Crankcase and Fracture (with a walmart gift card from one of the professors at my work.
My own Computer (so now i won't have to use my roommates!)
All that was needed was a catalyst and the machines of war are set in motion.

I got two jackets and a wide screen computer monitor. The dual monitor thing is turning out to be incredibly useful for updating the site, and anything else that requires me to have a dozen windows open.

I got a sock hat that my friend made on a loom. It's quite warm, but of course it hasn't been cold enough to wear it since she gave it to me :|

My friend got me two transformers that I picked out (Animated Skywarp and Universe Silverstreak), and a heavy duty pocket knife militia tool thing, which may or may not actually fit into a pocket.

I also got a laser pointer shaped like a mouse to use with the cats. They love it! Far and away the most entertaining gift.

I got a new Ipod and the Force Unleashed game for the Wii.
I also got Death Magnetic and Seasons in the Abyss.

No real complaints, except that Force Unleashed is a very addictive game.

Let's see:

The usual hat and scarf set (although the hat is one of those jobs with ear-flaps which, surprisingly enough, suits me!)
A desktop rear-view mirror, for no apparent reason
A lovely engraved pewter pen
Chocolate - chuns, even though people ought to know by now that I don't actually eat much of the stuff
Luxury chocolate-coated biscuits - ditto
A Bailey's chocolate fondue set :wtf:
TF:Animated 'Transform and Roll Out' which I had already indicated I had, hence request for Animated Series 1. Brother-in-law always proudly presents me with things I have told him I already have; I mean, he knows I have the complete Armada series and still got me a single disc...

Got some awesome gifts this year. :)

XBox 360 [technically an early Birthday gift... really, really early birthday gift...]
Roadbuster and Dirge
Swoop
Deep Space Starscream
Fuzzy, warm, fun-coloured stripey socks
the beginnings of a Christmas Village
Wall-E on DVD
Neopets trading cards
[lots of] Neopets plushes
Munchkin Booty
4th gen 8 gb iPod Nano [blue]
Canon PowerShot A470

And as usual, a stocking full of nuts, chocolates and small token gifts on Christmas morning. The stocking full of stuff my parents give us every year is probably my favourite holiday tradition.
This is my signature. My wasted space. My little corner. You can't have it. It's mine. I can write whatever I want. And I have!

Aside from the usual, generalized gifts(clothes, gift cards, electronic accessories, trinkets, etc.) here is my Transformers booty...

Universe Ultra Onslaught. (Already had gotten this for myself, but definitely a cool choice on the giver's part who knows nothing about Transformers and picked one at random.)

25th Anniversary Optimus. (Thank you! Not worth the money to pick up on my own, imho. But a great gift. I was planning on hoping to find it on clearance but now don't have to.)

Seven deluxe class Transformers from the current lines. Again, had all but one of them, but still appreciated!

My one low note, but one that can overlooked with patience: No Animated Swindle. (At least not in my area yet, is it available anywhere? I remember hearing "December" for this one...) When people ask me what I want for Christmas, I'm one of those who say, "meh...nothin'." and then get surprised. This year, yeah, I asked for this! But it's no big deal at all. I totally appreciated everyone and everything this year and, like I said, just a little patience. It'll give me something to pick up later!

It was a swell Christmas for me. The best in a few years, actually. And I'm happy to say I was able to give in kind.

Like many TF fans, I'm into robots in general. But a note to my family: Wall-E is not really an "awesome robot"(my Grandma said that!) but I don't really mind adding one or two figures to my collection. But...eleven? I'm troop-building yellow boxes, folks!
