The Mezzanine

Thankfully, Repugnus wasn't intoxicated yet when Grotusque arrived, or a bar fight may have ensued. Repugnus had finished his second drink when his fellow Monsterbot entered. Might just be a coincidence, but Repugnus doesn't believe in coincidences.

Either he's here to help me out, or to take me in. Regardless, let's get this over with.

Repugnus gestured at Grotusque with a hand, smiling. It wasn't a pleasant smile, but it wasn't exactly cold either.

Whirl shrugged. "He's a Decepticon, Nightbeat... perhaps he's stashed a lot of cash beforehand? But then, he could be getting backing from his old 'Con buddies. But this is more of your department, isn't it? If I join in the investigation, I'm liable to kill Sundor."

Grotusque sauntered through the crowd towards Repugnus.

"Hello old comrade, I thought I'd find you here. I've got a little job for you, lets just consider me your unofficial parole officer to go with your unofficial parole. Shall we move outside I wouldn't want anyone overhearing things that they shuldn't."

Repugnus smiled as he transformed into his beast mode. "Hey, Grotusque. How's life treating you? You got a new job, I hear." Repugnus placed a few credit chips on the table and started to move out. "Parole? Downshift and Powerflash gave me a parole, you know, provided I hunt down most of the prisoners that are still in Altihex. Oh, and Powerflash's little buddy, Road Rocket, is a traitor. Powerflash's dead, last I heard..." he said in a low voice beside Grotusque as the two Monsterbots moved out.

How will I explain the situation there? I mean, with Road Rocket trying to kill us all and everything.

Grotusque grimaced not a pretty sight.

"Road Rocket a traitor who would have thought it!! I haven't got too many details all I know is they've got a mission for your particular talents and asked me to escort you to a safe house where you can be briefed."

Repugnus shrugged. "Okay, Grotusque... what kind of mission? The seedy, undercover, assassination kind?" with a pause, Repugnus' jaws pulled up into a smile. "I like it. Let's go."

"There's a possibility you may have to eliminate a fellow Autobot, Smokescreen will fill you in the details. The safe house is this way."

Nightbeat: "Actually, the government is the one that should be handling this. Although given what their bean counters have been through recently, they may not be the most trustworthy ones to do it. We can't do it, either, because we're all in the military. They get wind of it, and what will come out is that we're trying to sabotage his campaign, which will hurt Roddy's chances. The real question to be asked is why the media aren't doing it."

Road Rage shrugged. "They've probably been bought off. Or scared off."

Stepper: "Or dazzled off by Rosanna."

Nightbeat: "Or, Rosanna puts such a good face on things, that they don't think they should look." -thinking- "You know, Roddy might have a good chance after all. All the voting public seems to be seeing of the Peace candidate is his pop star/partygirl campaign manager, while Roddy's out there campaigning for himself. Makes you wonder what's wrong with Sundor that he doesn't want to be out in public, doesn't it."

Autobase

Air Raid left Ironhide's office unsure if he got what he wanted out of the meeting. Though he never thought it would be easy to secure a body upgrade considering his position within the Aerialbots, he had hoped it would have been received a little better. He was now leaving the Command Centre and heading to the Spaceport to try and locate Silverbolt and the rest of the Aerialbots. Failing that he may find something to keep himself occupied until the group was reunited, it had been a long time since Air Raid had seen any of them.

Whirl sighed and waved a claw at Nightbeat. "That's the problem with the government nowadays. Back in the days of war, guys like you can just go with a search warrant on any suspected traitors. Sometimes I wish we're still at war... but that wouldn't be really Autobot-like, would it?"

Scratching his chin, Whirl continued, "Sundor's hiding something, that much is obvious. Something embarrassing or traitorous? I know I hide a voodoo doll of Gigatron back at Debris..." in a more serious tone, Whirl added, "Rosanna might not know she's possibly being used. But then, Roddy has a big chance. I'll vote for him, for starters. After all, as Rodimus Prime he did a okay job. The bigger question is that whether he'll fudge his job up."

Fiddling with his sixth drink that he acquired from the waitress-bot, Whirl asked, "Other than star-girl Rosanna and his seedy backup, who else is his competition?"

Repugnus' grin widened. "Kill an Autobot, Grotusque? Cool. A suspected traitor, then?" cackling, he queried, "Smokey? He warranted this? Another job from him, then. I could like that fella."

Nightbeat: "It could simply be that Sundor's got all the charisma of a freshly roadkilled skunk. If that's the case, then Rosanna's his best bet to get voted in, simply because she'll do all the public appearances. Until Roddy threw his hat in the ring, I don't think Sundor had any serious competition, or at least any that could compete with the Rosanna juggernaut."

"I tried voodoo dolls when I was in the diplomatic corps," Road Rage sighed. "No matter how many times I tried stabbing, shooting, and blowing the little pieces of slag up, the stupid ambassadors didn't go away. They just got less intelligent and more intent on settling on their laurels."

Safe House

Smokescreen arrived at the safehouse and let himself in quietly though the back entrance. Once inside, he reached down to his right hip and switched off the small device that rested there. The holoshroud that he'd been wearing (a red version of Jazz, this time) disappeared at a touch.

It wouldn't do to be caught on video meeting with Repugnus, he thought. Just in case this all goes horribly wrong.

Whirl scratched his head as he answered Road Rage. "Then why did they sell the voodoo dolls in the specialty shops?" turning to Nightbeat, Whirl replied, "Rosanna... Rosanna... what's she do before she entered the showbiz anyway? Resembles one of Blaster's little midgets, I think..."

As Snarl entered the bar, Whirl looked at the Dinobot. Whirl would've smiled had he been equipped for it. Around Dinobots, things tend to get... interesting.

"Oh?" Repugnus muttered, "That looked like something I would've picked for a safe house. But then again..."

The Monsterbot changed direction and sauntered over to the safe house that Grotusque indicated, and knocked on the door...

Snarl was walking over to the bar when he heard Whirl call him and looked. He smiled seeing someone he recognized and started walking over to him, grabing a drink off one of the waitress-bots trays, not noticeing it was a rather strong drink, and pulled up a chair and sat at the table "Hi guys" he said with a grin on his face.
