[Animated] Reaction Thread 25: "Autoboot Camp"

In case you haven't heard, the episode was on Nick Toons this morning in the UK. It has then been leaked on the net in many forms.

This episode was great. Ironhide is a figurative jock, Cliffjumper has no lines... or a name at this point, Shockwave/Longarm Prime were impressive, Sentinel Prime (Or Sentinel Minor in the flash back) was still a douche, and most importantly Wasp is one impressive character who will probably coming back... as a third-person schizophrenic green and yellow guy will all knew and loved.

Great episode though. Best of the season (Yep. Better than Fistful of Energon).

I liked the backstory for Bumblebee and Bulkhead. Now I know why they're such good friends. And the double-agent's true identy knocked my socks off!

I really hope Wasp is a diferent person to Waspinater.

Not that I did not like Waspinater, I did.

But I think Wasp should be a diferent and unique person.

And Simon MK I think Waspinater was a Wasp.

The show would be better with brand new and unique characters.

And I mean new names , new image, new everything.

Too much retroism.

When was the last time a Transformers series had completely new names, completely new designs with no throw backs and completely new everythings, and no "retroism"?

It has sometimes, mostly.

We do not want Animated turning into something that has wayyyyy too much cameoing content.

Car Robots / RID has a lot of diferent and new things.

Nearly all Car Robots / RID is unique.

In the Japanese original anyway.

Animated is unique and new , it should not have too much cameoing.

It could do with some new and unique characters though.

It has a bunch of names the same, it's part of the Japanese G1 continuity, and RiD is, from what I've heard, filled with script easter eggs that place it in, and reference G1 as well.

Besides the occasional throw-away line of dialogue, a few visual homages and Carly/Daniel/Spike, what cameos are you talking about? Most things like Wasp aren't being done for the hell of it, they're set up as big important plots.

Just seen it, I was wondering the chase between Wasp and Sentinal, was it in the present or past? If it present, I guess Sentinal went back to his Cybertron mode?

It was in the present, and yeah, Sentinal must have gone back to the original mode since his experiences on Earth were no good.

I thought that it was a great episode. Longarm's betrayel was predictable, but the fact that he was Shockwave sorta came out of nowhere, pretty cool.

Wasp was a good character, and I can't wait to see him try to exact his revenge on Bumblebee as Waspinator. I can see a team-up with Blackarachnia in the future.

Speaking of Wasp, look what happened to him after he was in Autobot custody. Seems like their interogation methods are very brutal, not something you'd expect the G1 Autobots to do. Maybe that's why Blitzwing has the schizophrenia, it could have been because he spent some time under Autobot custody and needed to cope with it somehow.

Interesting episode. I think though that Blitzwings problems as well as wasp's are not interogations tactics but something else, I'm still coming up with my theroy's but I'll let you know. Anyways, I loved the flash back, and now want to see Prowl and Optimus get one as well.

Optimus did get one, the one that involed Elita-1 and Sentinal. Ratchet had one too with Lockdown and Arcee. Prowl is the only one left with his past shrouded in mystery.

Ok, then I want Optimus to have another one that shows how he washed out of the acadamy, cause unless I missed something, they've never fully explained it.

They'll be saving that for the future.

My guess is Sentinel raildroaded him after Elita-1 "died."

I finally got around to watching this one today, very good episode. I'm interested to see how Wasp becomes Waspinator if that is really set to happen. At first I was thinking no, but after the way he was talking at the end of the episode I'm guessing yes. It will be interesting to see how he gains an organic mode, my guess is that it will involve Prometheus Black aka Meltdown and/or Blackarachnia.

Well, next episode is "Black Friday", where BA and PB team up, so we might see Wasp join up with them as early as then.

This was my absolute favorite episode so far. Completely loved it.

"Black Friday" and "Sari, No One's Home" are both on youtube. I watched Black Friday, it's pretty good.
