[Original RPG] Detente: To Reign In Hell (Polyhex)
En Route
I don’t really know Chop Shop. It’s not that I don’t have plans but I want to see who we meet and who chose a side and who didn’t.
Do you have any extra suggestions? my info is rather limited at best of that area and his residents. I didn't even get a response on the message I sent.
Loadrun had rejoined the small party and tried to blend in with the rest of the group.

Pardon me, Aeroblade. I'm jumping in too.
In terms of imposing, there were very few who could do it as well as Scorponok. As Tracer was saying his last words, Scorponok skulked out of the shadows. Taller than Tracer he crossed his arms and waited to be noticed.

"My name is Wingthing," the small Decepticon identified himself to Tracer, "and I'm Soundwave's Targetmaster partner and Lord Megatron's press secretary." He repressed a hostile hiss as Tracer moved closer to him and contented himself with the knowledge that at such close range he could easily blow the arrogant expression off of the other Decepticon's face in his concussion cannon mode.
"And as for the facility itself, I've worked here for many years. And so, while I thank you for your concern, I'm more than capable of moving Soundwave's mouthy little failed science fair experiment here to a more secure storage facility. My master wouldn't be amused if he found out that you were interfe-ah!"
His sentence was cut short when the hulking Scorponok appeared on the scene. "What in the universe are you doing here?" he demanded. He tried to keep his voice steady, but couldn't quite manage it -- he'd released several none-too-flattering character assassination pieces about the massive Decepticon, operating on the assumption that he would have remained loyal to Gigatron.
This could get ugly, he thought.

"There isn't a Decepticon in the modern forces that isn't aware how cassetticons such as yourself are constantly snitching to Soundwave, that threat is febile at best," Tracer spoke in a now forceful tone to Wingthing, all pleasantries aside. "Your master has left me in charge for the time being that he is out, and I do not intend to be held responsible for anything that happens out of place while he is gone, be it sabatoge by enemy forces or that which has been arranged by his own hand."
Tracer had dected Scorponok's presence in the area, but for the moment his attention was on the cassetticons, which could be reasonably labeled as the greater threat of the two... "You have two choices - you WILL either be escorted during your task by myself and be made privy to your activities, or you will be immediately labeled as traitors to the Decepticon army and promptly dealt with accordingly," Tracer spoke, by now having openned a com channel to Darkmount Security about the unfolding events. If the Cassetticons tried anything, Tracer had no doubt they wouldn't make it very far after that; Soundwave was not known for having many friends, and this situation was not likely to improve that outlook if it escolated...
"I would suggest you make your decision quick, or for the safety of this facility, I will decide. Soundwave is not going to be back to bail you out of this before it's over - you're on your own for your questionable activities. If you had nothing to hide, then you would not be upset of having others come along to insure things are done correctly..."

Wingthing snapped his beak in disgust at Tracer. Taking a step closer and making his body language as confrontational as he could manage, he ruffled his wings.
"Frankly, if you're so interested in Ratbat here, feel free to take him. I'm not a janitor, and I have better things to do with my time than move pieces of equipment from place to place. Let alone trying to move things from place to place and not being able to because some hopped-up ex-Micromaster has a bee in his bonnet because everyone in Megatron's army who actually matters is out actually doing things and they left him behind to mind the store!"
The Targetmaster's attitude and anger were completely fabricated, of course, but he had spent enough time drafting propaganda in the service of Megatron and Soundwave that he was a fairly talented actor.

Ramjet arrived at the fortress with only one engine running, his wings bent out of shape and almost all of his paint melted and scraped off. Of course, that was more or less par for the course for him.
He transformed painfully to robot mode, then hobbled into Darkmount and slammed his fist into the first comm panel he could find.
"Whoever's in charge of this dump, this is Ramjet. I've got some info on Gigs." He took a few more unsteady steps, then added, "If you're interested, meet me in the medical bay."

"I was hoping for some re-writes" replied Scorponok sardonically. "My popularity rating isn't what it used to be and I really want the other Decepticons back on my side. I do hope you understand."
Looking to Tracer he added "If you require an escort for this electronic dictation machine, I would be happy to oblige".

Wingthing almost panicked at the thought of being alone with Scorponok (actually, being alone with him and a disembodied head, which was even worse) but did his best to cover his emotions.
"Yes," he said to Tracer, "by all means one of you should waste your time standing guard over Ratbat here. After all, Soundwave would just hate it if something were to happen to his little secret experiment, wouldn't he?"

"To be a waste of time would indicate that I have better things to do with it, which at the moment I don't, as things are all quiet, save for your antics..." Tracer answered pointedly to Wingthing.
Then, on a much subtler note, sent a weak, coded com signal to the Cassetticon. {What's say we drop all the secrecy and you just tell me what is going on? Perhaps we can come to a less-volitile arrangement...}

Wingthing read Tracer's transmission and replied: Does it matter? I'm serving Megatron and my method of doing so is going to really, really annoy Soundwave. Who, I suspect, you're not particularly fond of. Getting into Gigatron's secret files is worth the trouble, no?
"Given that there's a seeker blaring all over the base's comm grid that he's got secret information about Gigatron, I would say that you certainly do have better things to do with your time that irritate me. But far be it from me to dictate to the military what they should consider a priority."
"Coming from you," Wingthing replied to Scorponok, "that's rich. Given that you built that fancy body you're walking around in in secret, without even bothering to get permission from Gigatron in the days when his permission mattered."

The way in which you decided to go about it however has resulted poorly, has it not? As much as I would enjoy to see Soundwave recieve some trouble, if I simply just leave you to your task, then I shall come under scruitiny. For the simple act of saving face, for the both of us, you will have to let me escort you to your destination. You may then continue about your task. You will certainly attract less suspicion if a high ranking Decepticon is with you.
After taking a quick moment to send out the transmittion to Wingthing, he then started speaking alound again. "Indeed, he may have some information that might be of some interest, but Ramjet isn't exactly one I'd consider in the highest intelligence ranking, and from the sound of things he won't be able to do much until he has been patched up."
Tracer then turned his attention to Scorponok, who's presence had been quite obviously bothering Wingthing for some time. "I believe supervision of this lacky is beneith your qualifications - as is mine, but thus is the essence of being evolved in the upper beauracracry, which I will have to adapt to sooner or later... See that Ramjet is stablized, then take him to debriefing room 2. I will be along shortly."

Cryotek arrived in his lab with Black Shadow.
"I am sensing we can get most of the machinary from some of your 'suppliers'." He said walking to a terminal and inserting a disk.
"On the other hand the data and information on these computers will be must invaluable." He said as the computer began to transfer data to the disk.
"Now we just hope noboday catches on." He said watching the transfer on the screen.

Very well. But for your own sake, I suggest you disavow any knowledge of what I'm actually doing.
Wingthing scowled. "Fine," he told Tracer. "If you must come with me, then follow me. I don't have all day to waste with desk pilots like you."

"We probably have most of the equipment on-hand, actually," Black Shadow told Cryotek. "And what we don't have, we can order easily enough."
He looked around, mentally taking stock of every piece of technology he recognized in the lab. A few of them were unfamiliar, but most of them were things that his minions had stockpiled over the years.
"As for anyone noticing us or catching on to our raiding this place for your data, I suspect they'll have a hard time doing that when we set the building on fire on our way out."

"Shut up!" Wingthing hissed at Ratbat, quietly enough so that no one else could hear. "You'll ruin the whole thing if they think you're alive."
The Targetmaster suspected that Tracer wouldn't do anything about it, but Scorponok had been very open with his dislike of the auditor in the past and Wingthing really didn't want the hulking Decepticon to step on him.

"I've been ready for fifteen minutes now," Wingthing told Scorponok. "If you weren't so busy preening, we would have been finished already."

Black Shadow smiled slightly and nodded to Cryotek.
"After you, my friend," he said. As he spoke, he pulled a small explosive out of a panel in his Pretender shell and attached it to the wall. Then he tossed several beakers of flammable chemicals to the ground and nodded in satisfaction.
"That should take care of things nicely," he said as he walked out the door.
