"Very well, the meeting will begin once both of you have arrived here," Ultra Magnus answered to Crosshairs. He then switched his com over to a different frequency. "Come in Prowl. You are needed for a meeting in my office."

Omega Supreme

Weasel watched Hot Rod through narrowed optics and turned away, muttering. He made up his mind to capture footage of Omega Supreme lifting off, considering what kind of scathing comment he could later insert before broadcast. It wouldn't hurt, then, to quickly grab a few shots of the old power cell production unit and warehouse.

After all, he had the murder victim's name: Spinnet. There was always his tap into the Central Registry...

A slow smile began to crawl across his thin lips...

------------------------------------------------------------

Enkryption heard Nightbeat's question to Hound and wondered what was going on. He dipped into Glyph's memory and, with new understanding, appreciated the duplicity of the plan. I hope to slag it works or we're scrap! He sagged against the wall, keeping his face averted and checking out the weapons he had concealed about their body and of which Nightbeat had, as yet, no knowledge.

Autobot Security Centre

Airplay nodded slowly

"when I was in the Army it was always Airplay you'll do better in a support role reconnaisance, they wouldn't let me get in there and get my wings dirty."

Autobot Security Centre Exterior.

Foxbat hovered by the entrance manouevring he used a wing tip to activate the doorbell.

Omega Supreme

Scoop hurried up the ramp

"with some of these mechs you never can tell."

Autobase Security Centre

Crosshairs glowered at Foxbat as he exited the building. He'd never met the mech before, but recognized the lawyerly look about him.

"We're closed," he said, deadpan. "Come back in regular business hours."

Transforming to vehicle mode, he rolled off toward Magnus' office.

Autobase; Prowl’s Office

Though Prowl and Red Alert’s heated debated continued, the incoming transmission from Ultra Magnus quickly ended their domestic squabble.

“I am on my way,” He answered.

Prowl stood up from his desk, briefly returning his consideration to Red Alert. “I do not have time for this. We will discuss this later. Now, if you will excuse me.”

“Yeah, we’re done,” Red Alert watched as Prowl made his way out of his office.

Red Alert followed, who was greeted by Hot Spot. “Feel better?’ Hot Spot playfully inquired.

“No, not really,” Red Alert shrugged. “Let’s get out of here. The longer I'm here, the more livid I’m going to get.”

--------

Punctual as always, Prowl promptly arrived at Ultra Magnus’ office. Though he normally was able to brush it off, Red Alert’s antics as of late had slowly began to grate on the generally stoic Autobot. Prowl was relieved to have a moment away from it.

He gently rapped on the office door before entering. “You called for a meeting?”

Tzai Industries Holdings, Business District

When Blades was finally roused from his stasis pod at the Peacekeeper’s facilities, he was greeted by Axer. Not relaying his CO’s message right away, Axer spoke casually with Blades as he slowly readjusted from the lag of being in stasis lock for so long.

He had a nagging, however, like something was off. Certainly not a bad sensation, he actually felt quite invigorated. It was something else, something inexplicable. He quickly dismissed it as a result of being in stasis lock.

Eventually, Axer informed Blades that his CO wished to meet him. He explained it as a possible employment opportunity, but didn’t divulge much more than that. And in truth, Axer wasn’t quite certain what The Tzai had in store for Blades either.

Curiosity naturally getting the best of him, Blades agreed to accompany Axer to the Tzai Industries Holdings building. Axer couldn't helped but frown at Blades’ naiveté. This supposed ‘opportunity’, was not an offer Blades’ could simply refuse.

As the two rode the elevator up to the board room on the top floor, Axer pulled Blades aside.

“Listen, kid,” he said solemnly. “What your about to see, well, let’s just say it’s all classified. A need-to-know basis. There’s no turning back. You can turn around right now. I wouldn’t think any less of you.”

“Ah, it can’t be that bad, can it?” Blades replied indifferently. “It sounds like a bunch corporate elite, inner-circle crap to me. Think I can manage.”

“Blades,” Axer sighed. “You really are-” Axer stopped himself as the elevator stopped and slid open.

“What?”

“Nevermind, we’re here.”

"Well nothing that can stand up to a laser blast, or even a solid punch maybe for that matter likely, and only for a limited amount of time given the energy that it takes - but given all that, with Spike and my new partnership, we can make a reasonably solid hologram," Hound answered, then gave Nightbeat a brief smile. "I'd wager to guess you already had something in mind?"

Magnus's office, Autobase

The Autobot commander nodded as Prowl entered, motioning to a chair if wished to make himself comfortable.

"Crosshairs has expressed a need to meet with me privately in a secure setting, and has requested your presence as well for this matter," Ultra Magnus informed the other Autobot. "We'll begin when he arrives."

Magnus's Office, Autobase

Crosshairs strode in, carrying an armload of datapads.

"Thanks for taking the time to see me on such short notice," he told Magnus and Prowl. He handed a datapad to each of them. "The reason I had to insist on secrecy is because we've made a major break in our efforts to build a case against the Space Mafia here in Iacon. I didn't want to tip our hand to the criminals and give them time to get out of town."

The weapons specialist consulted his own datapad for a few moments, then said, "I suppose I should start from the beginning. Has Ironhide been keeping the two of you up to date on the investigation?"

Ultra Magnus' Office, Autobase

Prowl nodded when Crosshairs entered the room and greeted him and Ultra Magnus.

"Short notice? No, not at all," Prowl cordially replied.

After he was handed Crosshair's report, Prowl skimmed over it while Crosshairs spoke.

"No, I am afraid Ironhide does not brief me on his affairs," Prowl answered. "Mind offering a summary of this investigation?"

Axer led Blades into a large and lavishly adorned board room. A panoramic view of downtown Iacon could be seen through large windows that encircled the entire floor. The room, not surprising, was dimly lit, but Blades still could make out the long conference table where, at the end, a figure sat in a recliner facing the large window. As their host became aware of his guests, the chair swiveled part way.

“Ah, good. You’re here,” the figure said in a baritone voice. “I have been expecting you. Please have a seat; we have much to discuss,” holding his hand out, directing Blades to an empty chair by the table. “Axer, would you please excuse us?”

“Sure thing,” Axer bowed, then quickly disappeared at his CO’s request.

“Please, make yourself comfortable,” he gestured to a bottle of energon and a elegantly shaped glass. “The potation is the finest on the planet, I am told. I insist you have some."

Blades reluctantly approached the table. "Uh, sure."

"I trust you have fully recovered after your most unfortunate encounter," his host continued "And that our facilities have accommodated you?”

“Eh, you know, all those ‘unfortunate encounters’ seem to come with the turf,” Blades shrugged. "Geez, what's with the lighting in here?"

Making his way over to a chair nearest his host, Blades squinted as he drew closer. “Anyhow, yeah, I feel great, actually.”

When Blades sat down, the recliner where his host sat spun completely forward. Blades could now see clearly who he was talking to.

“You’re…you’re Banzaitron, aren’t you?”

“At one time or another, yes,” he nodded.

“Heh, I don’t believe it. You’re the President and CEO of Tzai Industries?!” Blades said, slightly amused by this revelation. “I don’t believe it. I just don’t. A Decepticon...running a multi-million credit company.”

“I prefer neutral. I have little factional affiliation these days,” Banzaitron replied. “But please, do refrain from being too self righteous," he smiled. "But pardon my boldness; you were summoned here for a reason.”

And Enkryption thought: Stay aboard? Not slagging likely! I want my piece of the blastard that got us!

Then, frankly, he wondered how...

The Seeker's Head

The twins were bored and boredom was not something that usually overtook them. They could, if suitably paid, stare contentedly at paint drying for orns.

Several cocktails had slipped down easily and Thunk (or Thud) signalled for more. His brother was idly flicking some of the nuts, put out for patrons gratis, along the bar...

Surely someone knew they were back?

Magnus's Office, Autobase

"Certainly," Crosshairs told Prowl. "As you know, organized crime has been a serious plague on the planet since we retook it from the Quintessons. Over the past few months, Space Mafia activities have become more and more bold, even in major cities like Iacon. The gang has launched raids on supply convoys, attacked secure compounds and generally interfered in our activities."

His voice caught for a second, as the reason for his personal involvement in the investigation came back to him.

"Smokescreen and I were involved in one facet of the investigation, looking into some of Hubcap's more suspect activities. We found enough proof establish a Space Mafia connection, and went to visit him with Ironhide as backup. When we got there, we found the Wreckers terrorizing him. He proved very willing to cooperate with us, and he's given us quite a bit of evidence that we can use against the criminals. I've spent some time collating the evidence, and I think we've got enough to sweep up Kingpin, the leader of Iacon's Mafia cell, and most of his inner circle."

He pressed a button on his datapad, queueing up a range of warrants that would pop up on the pads he'd given to the other two Autobots.

"If you think the evidence is there, I'll need you to sign off on the warrants before we can arrest them," he told Ultra Magnus. Turning to Prowl, he said, "And if you're willing, I'd like for you to lead the raids. If nothing else, it would look good in the press if the pseudo-civilian police make the arrest instead of Military Security."

Once he was done speaking, he replied to Doublecross. "Excellent. I'll swing by to pick it up once I'm finished my meeting."

Autobot Security Center- Bumblebee's Cell

Post by secretcode »

I'm not quite sure... Bumblebee thought, apparently knowing his encounter with Bugbite had effected him, and that he never killed Prime. I'm not quite sure WHERE I am. I don't even know what I am anymore. He looks up. And stands.

"HEY!" Bumblebee yelled. "SOMEONE! Let me out! I didn't do anything! I never killed Prime!"

He pressed a button on his arm and his communicator popped out. "Calling Prowl, Ultra Magnus, or Whoever! I've come to my senses! I never killed Prime! It was an illusion! Let me out of this cell!"

He walked over to the bench and sat down, keeping his communicator online. Well... If they don't want to talk to me, I understand. Bugbite pulled a number on me, and deemed my self no longer an Autobot. I better fix that. He turns to his communicator.

"This is Bumblebee... Again. I declare myself an under Autobot Allegiance! I will do whatever the Autobot cause needs me to do to prove myself again!"

He stops talking.

“Yes, I can marshal the raid,” Prowl answered Crosshairs request. “We still need to go over a few more details, but I’ll organize a tactical tour of this operation once we have a roster of officers.”

Prowl glanced back down at the datapad once more then looked back up towards Crosshairs. “Hmm. considering that this is your investigation, I would like to appoint you as deputy for this operation (OOC: or is it lieutenant, or something?). Your familiarity to this investigation would be invaluable. Will you?”

______________

Tzai Industries Holdings, Business District

Aside from its awkward start, Blades and Banzaitron continued to converse over glasses of expensive brew, the nature of their discussion quite friendly and casual. At a glance, one might even mistaken them as acquaintances.

This conversation, however would soon take a turn for the worst….

“.....All part of a growing body," Banzaitron said. "Our presence is becoming more ubiquitous. With that in mind, security measures must also be taken to assure our growth remains stable. Tightened if you will, which is where you, Blades, come in."

"Okay."

"Our, shall we say, more illegitimate enterprises have long served their purposes, but are no longer necessary.”

“Heh. Do tell,” Blades grinned. “So, about this position...”

“My, you are a free spirited one. Talented as well. I have been monitoring your progress for quite some time. The organization sees you as a worthy investment.”

“You mean “The Tzai”, right? Is that some sort of special corporate elite club you got going?” Blades inquired.

“More or less,” he replied. “More will be explained in time. It is not often anyone is permitted to be a member. Its purpose is simple; to protect the interests, business or otherwise, of The Tzai.”

“Um, okay," Blades cocked his brow. "So, uh, what’s the job description?”

“My security, of course," Banzaitron told him. "You shall be my personal delegate and bodyguard. A transition, I would imagine, that will be easy for you since, by all intents and purposes, you died during the previous evening's event. But you still have much learn if you are to effectively serve the Tzai, which is why I have already provided you with the necessary guide."

Blades glanced sideways. "Wait, what - what do you mean?”

“You may have noticed that certain...adjustments were made while you were incapacitated. It is nothing to be concerned about, I assure you,” Banzaitron told him. “In essence, you were provided a curriculum, so to speak, that has been implanted within your neo-cortex. Within it are the teachings of our art. Your body has also been tailored to allow you to execute it with precision. If you do not see truth to my words, then see for yourself. You will find that the program is easily accessible to its user.”

“Nothing to be a concerned about?!” Blades shouted.

“You are the property of The Tzai, therefore we are free to take any necessary liberties,” Banzaitron retorted. “Often certain contingencies - in this case procedures - are done to prevent conflict of interests. Here is no different. You did after all complete the necessary paperwork when you joined Peacekeeper’s sporting events. Am I correct?”

Blades said nothing.

“Of course you did. Our firm does keep track of these sorts of things,” Banzaitron said. “With your history, do you honestly believe you have any other options?”

“How the hell is that your call to make?!” Blades stood up from his seat. “To hell with whatever you got going on here. I not interested in being a part of it.”

“Blades,” Banzaitron calmly interjected. “Do not mistake my generosity as some sort of infringement, but as a gift, a privilege. It is a thing to be honored. I will be your personal guide and tutor through this process. In time you will become quite formidable, a suitable guard for the elite.”

“And if I refuse?”

“To refuse my gifts, well, you already know the answer to that…my pupil,” Banzaitron coldly replied.

“How ‘generous’ of you,” Blades said dryly. “I don't have a choice, do I?”

“No. No, I’m afraid you don’t.”

“I-I see," Blades sat back down. "So when do I start…‘boss’?”

“Without delay.”

Crosshairs nodded and smiled slightly. "It would be my honour, sir," the former Targetmaster told Prowl. "If I may, I'll suggest that we bring Highbrow and Doublecross along. Their respective specialities would help us pull off the arrests and collect any evidence more easily."

(OOC: He's a major if we want to go by the rank charts. Could call him Prowl's subcommander, maybe? Deputy? Something along those lines...)

As Bumblebee's calls echoed down the hall, Hubcap jerked his head toward the cells, then gave Road Rage a funny look.

"So what are you gonna do about him?" he asked the femme. "Eventually someone's going to realize we've got Bumblebee locked up and start asking questions."

He looked over at Airplay, then said mock-regretfully, "Oh, wait. I probably shouldn't have said that. There's a reporter in the room. And a lawyer outside, hanging on the bell. Oops."

As ever, he was unrepentant.

Autobot Security Center- Bumblebee's Cell

Post by secretcode »

Bumblebee's audio receptors barely picked up Hubcap's comment. He stuck his head next to the laser wall and looked for him.

"Dang it! Let me out!" Bumblebee said. "I don't care about reporters or lawyers, just let me out!" He sees the control panel next to the door.

Heh... If only Fullfang was here. He'd bust through the wall easily. He sat down, trying to stay patient. Huffer and Sky Lynx would have made some bizarre scheme of some sorts and it would end up blowing up in their faces.

Meh. It's all done in the past. No use turning back now. I hope Bugbite is being tormented well in the pit. He looked at his arm, where his Teletraan3 pod was. Obviously it was removed from his arm by the security team. Huh. Maybe they are testing it for the Security Center. T3 was a pretty cool AI, and he's in the right hands now.

He looked around the rest of his cell. He saw a package badly wrapped up. Heh... Fullfang. He thought, and went toward the package and opened it. Inside the package was Fullfang's ball, the one Perceptor had given him when he was repaired. Inside was a badly written note.

Deer Bumbllebe,
I nevar whaz gud weth righteng. I kno thet yoo diddnt keel Prame, soo too chear yoo ahp, hav meye bahl. Et always waz gud fer whin I am en a touf seetuatsun. Et reely rephlektz meye pursenallitea.

Sigh. Bumblebee thought. He never was a good speller. And apparently he likes to bold random words.
