Resistance HQ, Kalis

Cobalt turned to look at Black Battle Convoy, his optics no more than blue slits.

"Do tell," he said.

Imperial Palace, Iacon

Hearing his Allicon aide's protestations from his anteroom, Ghyrik quickly realized that he had a visitor. Flipping on his security monitor, he quickly noted that the intruder was Judge Deliberata. He was reaching for the intercomm to tell the soldier to chase the judge away...and then he saw what he held in the grasp of one of his tendrils.

"Let him in," he said simply.

Moments later, the magistrate entered his inner office. Before the five-faced irritant could gloat, Ghyrik pinned him in place with a fiery glare.

"Well?" he demanded. "My sentries told me that you returned to base with one Allicon, a badly-wounded stormtrooper, and one of my Overcharge units. Was your little adventure worth so much loss?"

"Of course," Deliberata shot back confidently. "With the key to the Plasma Energy Chamber in our possession, we are assured of victory!"

"Bah!" Ghyrik dismissed that with a sweep of his arm, nearly knocking the magistrate to the ground as he did so. "The key is a cowardly fallback weapon! Using it would be an admission of defeat, not a prelude to victory." The general's optics narrowed. "You will turn it over to Palace Security. They will store it somewhere safe...and you will not use it unless absolutely necessary. Understood?"

Deliberata bristled under the general's instructions, but bobbed himself forward in submission nonetheless. He had downloaded a news update upon his return, and the disaster at Polyhex hadn't escaped his notice. For now he would have to humour the general. But only for now...

"As you wish."

The judge floated backwards, out the door and into the main corridor.

Resistance Base, Kalis:

BBC: "Simple. The odds are good word of my defection has yet to be spread far and wide. I simply report to the Kalis garrison, get inside the base, and at a prearranged time, unleash a barrage from my trailer while you attack the garrison. That distraction will allow me to start destroying them from the inside."

Kalis rebel HQ

Gunrunner noticed the doubts on Cobalt's optics and the lack of leadership in his group. The pretender was in another time a squadron leader, and he was used to deal with initiative and planification, responability and motivation.

But he refused the responability of leadership. He refused and he didn't want it again.

But now, in the current situation, maybe his duty - his rank trooper duty - was to be an example, a motivator to his fellows.

And BBC was an unexpected ally, a perfect ally to bring a goal, an objective for them. All of them, including Gunrunner.

He decided to make the first step.

" Cobalt, Kick-Off I think it's a good plan" he said looking at BBC. " In fact, it's the only one we've. Do you agree into BBC pattack plan? " he asked to his two fellows.

It was a long, laborous moving session, but eventually the piece of debris was slowly moved enough to be out of the way without causing a cave-in. The distance that it had been moved would have been enough to possibly reveal a blocked tunnel, but as the group was able to see once they were done pushing, it looked like just another bare wall, same as any others in the tunnel.

Bombshock, needless to say, looked irritated at the waste of their time. Before he had a moment to say anything, though, Breaker had gone over to the wall, slamming his elbow into a specific spot on it. The chosen spot depressed like a large button, and was followed by a deep, continuous grinding sound. A section of the wall nearby sunk backwards and then began to move aside, openning a new passage.

Once the openning had moved all of the way, Breaker moved to stand in the doorway, as though to keep the passage from closing again until everyone had crossed through it. "Do not dawdle..."

Cobalt glanced over at Gunrunner, and for the first time started to wonder if the Pretender had the exact same thoughts and doubts running through his mind as Cobalt himself did.

Wonderful time to find a kindred spirit, he thought bitterly. What we need right now is someone who is as little like me as possible. A leader, not a loner.

"It could work," he allowed. "We'd need maps of the garrison and the surrounding streets to plan our attack, of course." The emotionally-crippled Autobot turned to BBC. "If you don't have those in your datatracks, you'll have to find a way to get them to us from the inside. And you'll have to have some way to conceal the trailer, too. If they see that the game will be up."

Bomb-Burst was through the door virtually before it even opened, although his movements were all but invisible to his fellow renegades (save for Breaker, he suspected).

Needlenose was a bit more cautious. He peered through the darkened portal for a few seconds, trying to determine what was on the other side. After failing to do so, he shrugged fatalistically, pushed aside his fear the best he could, and walked through the door.

Haras pulled into the motorpool and parked his and his brothers storm bikes. His brother had not answered any hails, so he used the nearest Palace intranet console, and found Eiramnna had been taken to the nearest medical wing of the palace. Haras made his way there through the winding hallways and turbolifts, to find the care free factory like "Ward".
he quizzed the run down Reception unit, a greyed and worn out piece of lowgrade machinery that was as poorly maintained as the rest of the medical unit: Quintessons, after all, rarely had anyone worth healing that didn't result in a home visit: battle tactics with drones were simple and cost effective. it was only more efficient units such as he and his brother that warranted attention after battles.
Haras found Eiramnna laid up on a slab while a multi armed post of a droid maintained his chest wounds: Eiramnna turned his head and smiled weakly.
"If you got here this quick, then you obviously didn't get any stress on the way back: If we still have both bikes we should-" a moment of pain, Eiramnna grits his teeth in frustration "-we should still make a profit. Haras, get to an ATM and see if the good judge has paid us yet: I don't think the level of care here will cost much, but I'd like to..."
Haras raised his hand to quiet Eiramnna; he signed that he would get the money, and that his brother should rest.
Eiramnna closed his eyes, and haras left the ward.

Iacon: Perimeter

Axer's optics tracked up to the imposing dome of the ancient Autobot capitol as he and his Gatekeeper escorts walked along the edge of the Iacon Highway toward the city. It was a sight to behold: Axer had been here many times on assassination missions, but never did he expect to be so easily welcomed. It was rather intimidating. Still, he dared not mention it to his hosts. They had a nasty habit of prodding him when he spoke...

Vector Sigma

Derby bobbed in Doubelcross' arms while the Monsterbot carried his static body to his chamber. The sizzling had ceased, but his frame was still warm, and occasional shorts could be heard sparking under his armor.

Polyhex: Tunnels

Drench ducked low to keep his shoulder cannons from snagging on the debris as he passed under and into the doorway after the others. Volt took a moment to flex his shoulders triumphantly before swaggering after, giving Breaker a grin beneath his faceplate as he passed.

Resistance HQ, Kalis:

BBC: -shakes head- "Sadly, I do not have details of the garrison proper."

Kick Off: -walks over to his office door- "Back in a moment." -walks in, starts shuffling through odds and ends, comes back out with a datapadd- "Plans for the Kalis Decepticon training base. Which is where the Quints put their garrison." -taps padd against BBC's chest- "They're pretty old, though, The 'Cons abandoned the place long before the Quints showed up. Quints probably took it because it's in an easily defendable spot."

BBC: -takes padd, studies it- "Hmmm....."

Cobalt downloaded the plans from Kick-Off's datapad, then carefully assimilated them into his internal datatracks.

"I hesitate to ask how you got these..." he said as he mentally ran over the layout of the facility.

After leaving Ghyrik's office, Deliberata returned to his office. The magistrate sent one of his administrative staff out to see to the payments for the two stormtroopers who had served him in the recent attack. After filing a request with Gatekeeper Command for new bodyguards (he had tried to speak directly to the Supreme Bailiff, but Legatus was in Polyhex for some reason), he considered the pyramidal object that he had captured in the depths.

It can't be allowed to fall into the hands of the military, he decided. Ghyrik is a fanatic. He would never open the Plasma Energy Chamber no matter how dire things got, because his troops would fall alongside the Autobots and Decepticons if we did. No, the Key must be kept safe by the judiciary.

With that thought in mind, the Judge left his office and headed across the skywalk that led to the main Judiciary building.

Kalis Rebel HQ

Gunrunner studied carefully Kick-Off's datapad, while downloading the plans in his memory systems.

" Maybe the plans are old, but the streets surrounding the camp are the same. I used to scout that area with Windbre... well, when the Kalis cell was complete. "

Gunrunner scartched his head while looking the datapad screen.

" We've two options: we hide and wait together for BBC's signal " he said looking at Kick-Off and Cobalt, " or use the same trick we did in the lab and attack from three different directions. I'll vote for the last option. "

The pretender paused, still focused on the datapad's plans. He marked with a green icon three different places, forming the vertexs of a triangle, the Quint's camp in the middle.

" The camp's surroundings are pretty cleared of tall edifications, but If you agree, I think we can use the following locations. Cobalt can hide in this ruined building " said Gunrunner pointig at one of the green icons, a former processing facility; " Kick-Off can hide in this old administration ruins and me can hide here, in the Kalis Main Recycling Plant, in the other side of the Quint's camp. "

Gunrunner looked around.

" When BBC make his move, we attack at the same time. Count my shell in the attack too; so we'll have three moving elements on ground level and one - me - attacking from the air. It'll work. "

Haras found an ATM Port, and accessed his and his brothers dual acc: he had only logged on just after Deliberatas minions had submitted the money, so he was blessed to see the 14% VAT taken out of the payment, leaving 42550 Shanix in the account.
Haras tried doing some mental arithmatic: after the cost of the earlier bike destruction and his brothers medical cost... Haras gave up, and took a print out of the payment to take to his brother. He'd know.

Breaker gave no response to Volt's expression, if he even noticed it to begin with. Once all of the group has passed through the openning into the new tunnel, Breaker stepped out of the doorway as well, the closing mechanisms activating and begining to shut it again. He stayed put until the passage had closed completely, then took to the lead again.

Where ever the reclusive decepticon was leading them, they must have been getting close, as the passages were getting wider, and significantly less deteriorated. They also had more of a feel of a public acess way, having covered, panelled walls instead of the exposed pipelines and power cables of the previous tunnels, which were likely acient sewers or maitenance acesses.

"How much attention does this rabble need?" Breaker asked rather abruptly. His tone made it sound as though he'd directed the question towards someone in specific, but without having said a name, it could've been anyone.

Tunnels, Polyhex

Bomb-Burst's voice came from the shadows near Breaker. "Some more than others," he told the other, with yet another suspicious glance at Tunnel Rat thrown in for good measure. He assumed the highly-competant (if slightly derranged) mech would get the hint.

The Pretender walked out of the shadows (which were much less plentiful in this well-kept section of tunnel, anyway), split his Pretender shell, and allowed it to fade into subspace. Slowing his pace slightly, he dropped back to pace Squawktalk.

"The battle footage you shot. How long will it take. To turn it into a propaganda video?"

Cobalt merely nodded to Gunrunner.

"That would be workable," he agreed. He had a few comments on the plan that he would like to share, but he wouldn't share them while BBC was on the scene. It would be best, he thought, if they made a few minor changes to them after he had left to infiltrate the base...just in case he decided to set a trap for the rebels. Until the renegade Quintesson abomination had proven himself, Cobalt would treat him as a suspect.

Squawktalk looked across

"not long at all just a few breems really, ,depending on the format you want, and if you want a VO or stick with my commentary, I can have it done in hardly any time as long as i can have some time with the right equipment free from distractions."

Tunnel Rat sidled up to Volt

"didn't get properly introduced name's Groundpounder, Ground Reinforcement. Got captured by Mechcannibals before they traded me to the Quints."

"Your commentary," Bomb-Burst told Squawktalk. "Will be satisfactory. The sight of such a major Quintesson defeat. Needs no explanation."

The Pretender cast a glance at Breaker. "If he has the equipment on-hand. Then we will be able to do this quickly. Otherwise some of us. Will have to return to the resistance bunker.

"Once the propaganda is complete. We will sieze a Quintesson comm station. And broadcast it worldwide."

Polyhex: Tunnels

Volt fell back into step as the group began moving again, bouncing his sword idly against his shoulder and glancing down at Tunnel Rat with a more friendly demeanour than the others had afforded him.

"Groundpounder? Thought I knew a guy named Groundpounder..."

Volt looked up flustered in thought for a moment.

"Guess not... Volt. Speed Technician. Got caught by Decepticons before the Quints invaded."

He paused for a moment. It felt nice to share stories with other prisoners; made him feel not so alone. He considered asking what had become of Tunnel Rat's partner, but if he'd been captured by Mechannibals, it was probably better not to...

"Don't let those other guys hassle you too much, by the way. Decepticons, you know? They aren't so big on organics."
