On my short trip to Singapore, a department store had only a swarm of Blackarachnia and Oil Slick and some odd Animated and Universe Voyager/Leaders. The Blackarachnia and Oil Slick is a whole shelf-warmer.

As for where I live in...

Movie
Warpath
Armorhide
Elita-One
Cliffjumper
Landmine
Salvage
Rescue Ratchet
Nightwatch Optimus Prime
Legends Class Bonecrusher
Legends Class Recon Barricade
Legends Class Cliffjumper
Legends Class Megatron

Classics
Cliffjumper
Grimlock

Animated
Oil Slick
Ratchet
Lockdown
Lugnut
Snarl
Blackarachnia
All Activators
Optimus Prime Voyager
the non-transforming BB

UNiverse
Prowl
Galvatron
all Robot Heroes
Blades
Dropshot
Sunstreaker

The shame about Oil Slick is that it's a nice toy; however, as the only non-show toy in the line to this point, it sticks out like a sore thumb, and people just aren't interested.

The only thing on any of the pegs/shelves here are as follows...

Animated Blackarachnia
Animated Ratchet
Animated Oilslick
Animated Swoop
Animated Sentinal Prime
Animated Megatron
Animated Bulkhead
Universe Sideswipe
Universe Galvatron
Universe Ironhide
Universe Onslaught

...that's pretty much all I ever see here...still no Universe Cheetor/Hound/Cyclonus or any Animated Jetfire/Jetstorm/Swindle.

In terms of Universe, the local Wal-Mart only has one Sunstreaker, and two Galvatrons. Lots of Voyagers and Ultras, except for Blades, Treadbolt, and Inferno. And not one of the Onslaughts in the store have the fixed siren. Animated and movie are pretty much like everyone else.

SPOILER! (select to read)
They'll probably move a bit faster once Season 3 comes around, as he's been confirmed to be in the show.

Strange thing is, Blackarachnia, who is one of the 'main' five Deceps (as far as 'main' Deceps get, anyway) is shelfwarming, despite one-episode-cameos like Soundwave being sold out already.

Maybe that's coz Soundwave, 1) is a G1 homage, 2) does not double cross people as much, 3)is a van, rather than a spider (arachnophobia, etc.)?

Or maybe it's just because she's "the girl robot" in a boy's action figure line...?

She sticks out like a sore thumb in the line, because she's the only girl and she was the only "animal" character in the early run of figures, and still is outside of the Dinobots.

And, her toy isn't very good, and in the show, despite being in more than one episode, really hasn't done anything interesting.

Really, every time she shows up she ends up nearly getting killed by her own plan then is saved by Prime.

And yet there's a die-hard group who want a G1-esque Arcee fig. :p

It might just be the diehard BA fans have the Transmetals 2 toy and that toy was especially hard to find, then Animated came around and tried to revive it with much difficulty too. I think the BW BA Transmetal 2 toy was prolly by far superior in size and quality, but that is just my humble opinion.

Eh, she might start selling better once season 3 starts. Along with Waspinator. But right now, her grapple gimmick is interesting but not that great, she is pretty in robot but far, far from that in spider mode, and dinosaurs always have that "cool" factor whereas spiders are often labeled as "icky". Just my humble opinion, anyway.

It's probably due to the fact it's Soundwave. People love Soundwave, no matter what generation he is in. I know a lot of people that generally hate Blackarachnia, plus the toy isn't really that appealing.

Was Cybertron Soundwave well loved?

Cause the Blaster repaint is a shelfwarmer here.
Come on and wind me up.

It wasn't exactly too popular a mould to begin with, i think, and this scheme just makes it worse, imo.

I don't like it, either. I'm giving mine to my destructive nephew for his birthday on wednesday.

Blockrock is awesome, I'll agree.

The mold for Blaster though isn't that bad. It's mediocre, sure, but there are far worse toys you can get. The colors, I'll agree though, needed a bit of work and a retooled head (Just give it a mouth at least) would have made it a bit better.
