Aye, I know. But on the shelf, it's Ironhide who really stands out for me as being teeny.

Although Jazz next to '08 Bumbles does screw your eyes up a bit.

But at least Jazz and Ratchet are roughly in scale (although proportions may be another matter), and Bumbles matches Leader Brawl / Devastator.

At the end of the day, they're a hodgepodge of proportion and scale, but are all nifty!

I expect the same of the new film line. (Let's face it - we're not gonna get a

"Teeny"? I thought Ironhide was surprisingly tall and sleek in robot mode, compared to his more, er, "compact" robot body design in the movie.

Egads, they're shooting at the

And what is it that you're doing now? Why don't you practice what you preach?

Anyway, like I said, not whining/moaning. I liked the the first movie's Autobot figures since because they were pretty close in scale. Nevermore's right, though, Jazz was a little large and the classic camero (I was quoting Mikela witht he "crappy camero" comment) was too small, but the '08 was much better. Barricade was pretty cool, too.

Well, even though the

constructicons will be small in comparison with everyone else, it ought to still be the coolest, most highly detailed gestalt we've ever seen before.
Yes, that's a guess because there's no pictures yet, but I'm banking that it's going to be pretty damn cool.

Ah well. At least Skids is getting some love. One of my favorite characters (Huffer) has been MIA since G1.

SPOILER! (select to read)
Ya know lately ive found a new love for the concept camaro, i was never too keen on the car before but lately i really like it. This new version of it looks even better though! I love the new rims and front-end design. I cant wait to get my hands on the new BB toy, i only assume theres gonna be a new one based on the re-designed camaro. (i hope. Anyone heard anything about that?) Good news about skids, lets hope its not misinformation though.
I wonder what purpose the boneyard serves? Maybe they are there searching for a lost TF or something?

Hi Reflector.
SPOILER! (select to read)
So Skids is going to be in the movie? Who are the confirmed new characters? I lost track... I know we're having Soundwave, Ravage, the Constructicons, Sideswipe, Jetfire, Skids and possibly the Fallen. Who else?

It's a bit surprising Skids got used. He appeared only twice/thrice in the TV show.

What I want is Trailbreaker...

Here's hoping Prowl and the Insecticons get used in the film...

That's interesting reasoning behind deciphering the name of that particular car. My question is...did any of the other cars have the character names on their plates? Did Bumblebee or Ironhide or anyone? I don't recall. But it was an idea from Binalternators that I liked, so that's cool if that's what's really going on here.

Original cartoon ain't everything. He was legend in the UK comic. Plus he was in the DW stuff, the toy was reissued by both Hasbro and Takara a few years back, he was included in the Alternators line.

Plus the name was [sort of] reused for RiD.

The recent appearances mean it's a name that's got weight in the casual fan zeitgeist.

He's higher profile than the Micromaster that Barricade was named after, at any rate.
Now watch Nevermore nitpick my not-quite-correct use of the word zeitgeist. ;)

Probably, but it's still a cool design. If it isn't fake, I'd be interested to know who it's supposed to be.

Based on the outlined shape and design of the face, as well as pointing out partials from the first letter and last two letters; I have concluded that this is Nemesis Strika!

SPOILER! (select to read)
Skids in UK comics? Never read much. Let's see...:swirly:

Sure, he's a nice character. Got transplanted into another universe while Galvatron wreaks havoc. Poor Skids.

He got an Encore toy? When?

Barricade and Blackout are just being used 'cause they used to be Soudnwave and Prowl, but Michael Bay don't want it like that. So...

As various people over at TFW2005 have pointed out (most notably Skowl), that design is a collage of parts from other designs, such as the feet of the early Ratchet design (back when he was still going to be a fire truck), Barricade's hands, Brawl's cannons moved to the shoulders, and Bonecrusher's head flipped upside down. Apparently there are also some Star Wars guns thrown in the mix.
