Out of that first set, the only one I still have is Brawn.
I had recently came across some of my old toys when I was a kid and I couldn't believed that I still have Hot Rod and Optimus Prime in good shape.

Ah I see, your family actually likes you. What a strange way of life that must be.
I have to admit that I have absolutely no idea how to respond to this.

Some sort of thing that I thought looked like Megatron with a crown and was either beige or grey (I can't remember.)
It had 3 modes: Robot mode, Tank mode, and gun mode (which I could hold.)

I believe that would've been Galvatron, though it was a cannon, not a tank mode.
Mine were hand-me-down Getaway and PM Optimus.

When I was a kid I wanted a lot of Transformers because a mate at junior school had parents that brought him a transformer every time a new one came out. My parents however didn't like the idea of a kid playing with a toy that depicted a giant fighting robot with a gun - so they brought me board games instead. Sometime in the mid to late eighties I brought a Gobot from a jumble sale that I think was the leader of the good guys (can't remember his name) and I was happy that I had finally got my hands on a transformer for the first time. Many, many years later (about four years ago actually) I brought the re-issues of Starscream and Hot Rod (or should I say Rodimus Major) and the Japanese reissue of the Insecticons.

The details are etchy, but I think I got for christmas (86?)
Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Blaster
Brawl
Ironhide
Jazz
Then around 2 decades and many Garauge sales changed this.
All I have now is Blaster.
I eventually got another Prime though at a Car Boot sale.

I found a G1 War Path down in the side of a recliner in my house when I was really young. That's when it all started - turned out my cousins had given me a bunch more of them that parents just hadn't shown me because they didn't think I'd be interested for whatever reason.

He's right. Galvatron was supposed to be a futuistic self-propelled artillery piece. Why he had tank treds.

I know that pain. My mom convinced me to throw out a halfways decent junker Wheeljack when I was 16.

Broadside. Colour was grey and red. Think there was also a little blue as well.
