Topic: The Fox Effect finally kicks in: Dollhouse being canned

Bloody Hell. Now Fox is just teasing us. After they renewed for Season 2, I had hoped that Wheden had found the magic combination of populist appeal coupled with high-brow musing. Then again the Season 2 seems like it has more philosophical conundrums than the first Season, so maybe Joss over steppe...

That actually didn't take as long as I thought it would; it helped you only had a few typos to fix, so thanks for that. :) I have to agree with ElectricGecko on the new toy thing, though only in the realm of preferring not to have any crappy toys regardless of whatever name Hasbro slaps on them to k...

Can somebody tell me why they can't just make this into a pill? They do have a nasal spray available, though I'm skeptical of its effectiveness versus a shot. According to the CDC I'm also in the high risk group; on the other hand, I haven't set foot in a doctor's office/used any form of anti-bioti...

[quote="ElectricGecko"]I had a little bit of fun with the helicopter mode, but the second I started the transformation process, all I felt was the sharp bite of defeat. This guy is negative fun. He sucks all the fun out of the room] This is the most beautiful summation of this toy anyone c...

Only familiar with Hasbro's Dinobot, and I'm not really impressed. His beast mode looks really good, yet doesn't really have much articulation. The robot mode has some nice upper body articulation; however, the knees are quite restricted. Both his weapons are kinda lame. Although I like the paint jo...

Help with Internet Explorer Weirdness

This is kind of strange so bare with me. My father, who uses internet explorer, is having a problem where in a file called "iexplore.exe.exp.log" keeps appearing in the ie folder. My father says that this file appears and begins to grow, eventually filling the hardrive. He's deleted it sev...

I like the term secretcode used "psuedo-kibble". Otherwise, faux parts is amusing to say. :)

If you have an idea of what you want to study, there may be scholarships aimed at specific majors, or other miscellaneous scholarships. My high school had a big book of scholarships in the guidance office; you may want to see if your school has one of those for the latter, and explore UTK's website ...

Good review, though I have to disagree with you on the silver/red thing. Normally, I'm all for non-silver cars, but I just can't get red to work for this mold. Not sure why. Something just doesn't mesh. However, if he really had the chrome bearings to be pink like he appears in your pictures, I'd pi...

The first episode just appeared on Hulu . I've been impressed with some of ABCs recent shows (mostly Defying Gravity), so I'll have to give this a look. My enjoyment of it, I suspect, will largely depend on how they handle the "see the future" aspect. Time travel gimmicks almost always see...

No. They all spoke quite clearly, I thought. ...They weren't consistently subbed thought, were they? I vaguely remember thinking it odd that the English was subbed, then also finding it odd when it wasn't.

Picked up Ghostbusters: The Video Game for PC. I love it, though it was clearly made for fans of the series, so I don't know how well it'll hold up for someone who doesn't know what a focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm is. On the other hand, it has a fun story, lots of humor, and good voice ac...

Well done! I really liked the film; it didn't go at all how I had expected from the trailers. The gore was a bit gratuitous at points, but not overly so, and tight plot kept things rolling. Loved the mecha at the end.

I'd say it's worth a look at the cinema.

So far, I think the show's been done brilliantly. It's quite character driven, a concept that seems to be getting rarer these days. We'll see as the show progresses if the writers are able to handle the season arc as well as they've written the individual episodes.

Good review. I keep meaning to pick the little guy up, but he still hasn't shown up around here. Anyway, quick question. In one part of the review you use the word "gutle". Could be my vocabulary is failing me, but I can't find a similar word elsewhere. So, I'm not sure if it's a typo...

The Director's Cut Episodes 21-24 are practically essential, and contain material that should've been there in the first place. Do these cut's make the ending less random, and actually continue the story? I really liked the series until around the end when the nicely developing plot was tossed out ...

I've been impressed with both Starscream and Megatron. Of the two, I'd mark Megatron a bit higher due to slightly better posability in robot mode, and very impressive head sculpt. On the the other hand, Starscream has about the best jet mode ever produced (i.e. almost zero robot kibble). His hands d...
