If nobody gets stabbed by one of the little cross - guard beams on that light saber by the end, I'll be very surprised.

No, you're probably right. I certainly understood it as a deliberate reference to preemptive strike foreign policy.

So, that Star Wars hey? The bad lad has a cool looking sword.

Ah, I got that they were against illegally killing a terrorist without trial who was hiding in a foreign location (had they killed Bin Laden when this came out) and that Scotty was against having weapons he was unfamiliar with on board but I never really associated them with drones.

the straight up anger at the use of military drones in war is both very Trek and a fresh thing the franchise hasn't done before (indeed, had any big film addressed the ethics of drones by that point?) I literally watched this the other day at my parents' house (my dad bought a new TV and wanted som...

Just to clarify, I don't have any issue with the drones not being tough enemies, I just feel that the crap transformations would have felt less like a letdown if they used it to all act like Terminator 2s.

The promotional video calls that model Stinger, IIRC.

I don't think the cube transformations would have felt so rubbish and incongruous if they'd been used to turn into multiple things. I think it was Dalek on here who said a while back that if they'd been able to shapeshift into a whole bunch of forms then the whole "these are the bigger, better ...

I enjoyed this episode a lot, and the Daleks (for me anyway) work best in stories that aren't really about the Daleks at this point. And Missy is brilliant, she can carry right on.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron - A great sequel made by Joss Whedon that somehow doesn't quite live up to the original, also among the returning heroes, we get Paul Bettany as Vision, Elizabeth Olson as Scarlet Witch, although she has a different power set that usual, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and James Spader...

I absolutely love Jennifer Hale's Commander Shepherd, and in particular her romance with Liara. To the point that I can't imagine playing as a dude or romancing anyone else.

The EU has lost most of its' sense of fun and collapsed into a black hole of super-violent galaxy-shattering "epics" that take themselves too seriously. As part of announcing the new films they denounced the while EU as non canon so at least they feel the same way about it. Also, the fact...

This is really soon, isn't it? I should get my order down. I think it'll be one of those games I don't really think about until I have it but end up loving to bits once I have my hands on it.

Yay star wars! I've always had a weird relationship with star wars. I say I'm not super into it but I know all the characters, I play the games, I've got posters and models and whatnot, and when I saw the trailer at the cinema I got serious goosebumps and butterflies. I think it's just that I'm not ...

Hello friends! I have returned from rarely being sober enough to type to say: I listened to your podcast. It was nice. Well, I listened to episode 1 and will listen to 2 once I've read the appropriate Comicbook issue. I'm a major, major podcast addict; I listen to them while I do chores and cook, at...

That's me 100% sold. Bayonetta has my favourite combat of any game ever. Feels like a slightly odd fit, mind, as it doesn't really feature shooting.
