Re: WANTED: MP10 left wing mirror
They look similar enough that you could get away with casting a copy of the right wing mirror and cutting it to fit? Clay would be the person I'd ask for tips. Or find a non-TF model to buy and get two matching mirrors off when charity shops are safe to go round, some of them might get 1:28/1:30/1:3...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
Plus die-cast. Don't think I'm going to touch this with customising as it's too nice. The yellow is a little more orange than the typically bad photo shows, and the figure's a great example of upscaling and better materials showing what the MP line could have been. Much prefer this older sculpt to ...

It's mostly Transformers-related, plus a bit of other. For the asking price of one TPB I'm morbidly curious in enough of it to go for the lot.

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions
They've gone to a bit of effort with the plastic used on the head (looks better than renders and that photo doesn't quite capture it) and apps so for the more normal price it doesn't feel like too much of a rip off. Not looking to go far down the rabbit hole but seeing they've done Tung Lashor and M...

Was better in the big Tesco I've just been in (probably 3/4 or more) than the Sainsbury's I popped into for Argos last week (less than 1/2). Checkout assistant rubbing her face. It looks like the Whitehouse was seriously fucking stupid enough to switch national policy to "don't test, don't find" -- ...

Re: Custom Siege Pinpointer (or: babby's first dye job) [and other random customs]
Effective (also, crikey that's bad yellowing). I must find/replace the bottle I'd got and have a go at the Getaway, Air Raid, etc. that are in tubs. If we have any more good weather. Seen some great videos of people doing this with huge tubs and old console/computer shells. Shall we make this a gene...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!
 With the G2 Megatron talk I fished out RID Bludgeon -- this one's had the cannon shortened and in the second pic you can just see that the bellows piece has been retained (since it's necessary for the tank mode to not have a gaping hole) but plugged onto his back with a 3/4 Technic pin. Great m...

That's an idea with the G2 Megs actually -- I've got a spare Hardhead. Might end up trimming off the sword part. edit: These don't look too bad with the gun on the back -- https://i.imgur.com/23px9kI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/23px9kI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nlZL52F.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nlZL52F.jpg

https://gear4geeks.co.uk/blog/2017/06/05/kbb-oversized-masterpiece-bumblebee-mp-21-review/ ^ I'm not going to get chance to do anything with it for ages, but since there's a bit of cracking down on KOs I've ordered one of the oversized (and this is double the height) KBB MP 21+ ones. As I say, this is why the UK govt press releases about increasing fines are hot air and meaningless -- nobody's required to wear one due to a long list of self-declared exemptions. The only way to run things is with no exemptions, and actual support (i.e. arranging deliveries for, not a hand-waving ...

Studio series wartime Hot Rod from the Kapow TFN sale. Not to be Hot Rod, I liked the sculpt but wasn't sure what I'd do with it. Then I remembered one of the TR heads that wasn't in the parts box and did a ten minute switcheroo and tidy up with the back of Sky Shadow's head since it's under a helme...

Neat. I'm still kind of OCD about not having the same character in the same display, but equally it's nice to have comparison shots. And there's some unusual pieces there -- is that a Japanese gum toy Piranacon? Who's the green Scoop redeco? Got this one out the other day. It's a genuine Redbee but ...

I'm easily pleased by novelty and not-another-homage, but yeah the pricing is killing the line. With something like Meteorfire I can see a tiny bit more point to it as there's probably a few bucks/quid worth of electronics in the thing (and maybe kids like that shit? I don't remember doing so, batte...
