Digitally, it's apparently because Comixology decided to make the pound/dollar conversation rate 1:1.

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
The attempt to turn Johnson into some sort of national hero who can't be criticised has made me throw up a bit in the back of my throat. I certainly don't want him, or anyone, dead from this (though equally I know that's from a position of privilege, people who have had their lives destroyed or lost...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC
The fact the BBC are now pushing "Well, all these old people were going to die soon anyway" makes me pretty firmly convinced the Lockdown is going to be lifted early and thousands are going to be sacrificed to the economy.

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point
With the website redesign...
As there are more episodes of the podcast coming (one is being edited as we speak!), is there any way of making it more prominent on the main page? It's a bit of a hunt to find it now.

SPOILER! (select to read)Either Brent Spiner's neck is too big now for them to do the costume up properly, or someone forgot the zip on the Nemesis era uniforms isn't meant to be visible...

All that stuff is bollocks though. The photos of "Venice" doing the rounds are of somewhere else in Italy.

My job is actually much simpler because there's no time for arsey managers to make trouble, it's just grab a cage and work it.

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Two toys of characters I never expected to get an official toy. Rack'N'Ruin: More complicated than I would have expected from the kiddies line, but once I'd adjusted to that, what a fun toy with lots of personality in the two faces. I know it's not technically the Marvel version, but he works great ...

Re: Doctor Who Series 12 Thread
I've really enjoyed most of this season, but boy did I find that finale bad. Beyond feeling like they let John Barber write it (behold the secret meaning of words said once by Tom Baker 44 years ago!) and the fanwank retcon... It's well established the Cybermen can be defeated by unlocking their sea...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point
The comics are a foreign country to me these days. I loved More Than Meets The Eye / Lost Light and was sad to see that go for an enforced even newer direction. Although I don't know how sustainable tales of genderless robots having proper emotional relationships in space was ever going to be when ...

Re: Doctor Who Series 12 Thread
I'm very much enjoying it so far, maybe not top tier Who, but perfectly nice and watchable. Just feel a bit sad it's not...well, not doing badly when the final IPlayer viewers are taken into account (though the bump isn't as big as it used to be), but people are actively avoiding watching it on the ...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Got a Siege Hound.
Spent a long time trying to work out how the arms cleverly folded away into the underside of the vehicle mode before realising they just sort of hang there.
But really quite a lot of fun regardless.
