Don't know about the shorter smoke stacks or the blue eyes, but Ultra Magnus' missile are probably due to today's standards for childrens toys. Those small missiles just aren't kosher for kids to swallow. BTW: Hot Rod's stickers look like they're foil or something...they shiney!

I actually like the Quints at some points. It always annoyed me to no end that the DC were the only villains of the story. Yes, it's a war between the two factions, but a little more variety would have made it better IMO.
