The Ark is a massive and ancient (by Cybertronian technological standards) Autobot Deep Space Interceptor. Millions of years ago, the ship was shot down by the legendary Decepticon warship, the Nemesis, and crash landed on Earth. It later (much later) became a base of operations for the Autobots stationed on Earth.
