The prototype for a new line of 'Super Guardians', Fortress X was designed to replace an entire standard Dark Guardian squadron. Powerful and nigh-indestructible, Fortress X exceeded the highest performance expectations…and the highest budget estimates as well. The project was cancelled, and Fortress X decommissioned and put into stasis. Reactivated to counter the threat of the Transformer cities, Fortress X felt closer to his titanic enemies than he did to the Quintessons that he served.
Character History
Against his will, Fortress X was compelled to fight Metroplex in the ruined city-state of Tarn. He and the Autobot city both died in the battle.
Trivia
Fortress X is based on an old Diaclone toy that was approximately the same size as the citybots who appeared in the Transformers line.
