Zeoman4.5's review of: Chase

Name Chase
Function Autobot Scout
Subgroup Throttlebots
"Hunters drive; targets park."

Impatient, overeager, usually ten miles down the road before other Throttlebots have shifted into gear. Likes to brag about past exploits and future conquests. Very popular. In car mode, can cruise at 240mph. Excellent vision - can see long distances in three directions at the same time. Possesses an array of radar dishes positioned under roof in car mode. Prone to drive shaft and transmission problems

Chase is one of those Autobots that you know you don't need, but end up getting anyway. He is part of the Throttle bots team, a group of figures that in Vehicle mode had pull back engines. He is probably the best known of the group, next to Bumblebee reborn as Goldbug. Honestly I think highly of him partly due to his similarity Cliffjumper, and also because I really like the gimmicks from G1.

Vehicle mode

Let’s say the Decepticons are attacking. Suddenly you hear the engines roar of the crimson Sports car mode of Chase. He pulls up close to lead them away and with his solid red base color and striking black windshield and windows, he's an easily spotted target. He flies by in great speed with his Throttlebot engine humming; even after many years of service, it works just as good as new. His rubber tires grip the city streets well but not the ruff terrain. The decepticons follow him out of the city and the battle begins.

Robot mode

Chase has the Decepticons right where he wants them. He quickly transforms from car to robot. With a flash of light, his bot mode is known. His broad red chest plate, arms, and feet are complimented by the blue under tones of his armor. His face is one of style and strength, having a golden hue in face plate and visor; looking like a warrior from the sun. Alas his arms are not for fighting but his motion that is the his key to victory. He charges using his engine in his feet to thrust through the enemy and end the fight here and now. It is done.

Price: 8 Chase is one of the few G1s that isn't expensive
Transformation: 1 Easy, like a spychanger.
Durability: 8 The engine holds up well and the only parts I'd ever worry for, are his arms.
Fun: 7 This is one of my better liked toys for play, although I really wish his arms worked.
Overall: 5 Really can't give him a very high one just because of what he is. Compared to some other G1s he's great. In my book he'll always be one of the best.
