Sir Auros' review of: Bonecrusher

Name: Bonecrusher
Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Demolitions
Sub-Group: Constructicons

Bonecrusher really reminds me of the RiD Build Team. The figure is a piece of construction machinery, part of a mediocre gestalt, and lacking in aesthetics. By lacking in aesthetics, I mean the figure looks goofy and has an awful colorscheme.

Vehicle Mode:
Bonecrusher's vehicle mode is fine. Unfortunately, that's the best part of the figure. I'm not a fan of the bright yellow and crap brown coloring used on the figure and wish some shade of green could have been selected instead since it would make the figure itself more pleasing on the eyes as well as help the Constructicon Maximus mode. Bonecrusher's a fairly standard earth-moving vehicle and as such has no weapons. The vehicle mode is detailed well and looks like what it's supposed to be and also hides the robot mode well. Yes, the legs are clearly forming the back, but at least they're doing it subtley.

Robot Mode:
The figure really, really looks like High Tower or his body-double from the RiD Build Team. Bonecrusher does have a bit more mobility, but it's just not enough. The energon weapon also forms a very bizarre thing that I think is supposed to be a double-bladed energon scythe or something like that. Whatever it is, the figure holds it awkwardly and I couldn't imagine it being used effectively as a weapon. The paintjob on mine seems really sloppy and it is pretty prominent in this mode. The weird pink hue on the face is truely bizarre, but at least the face ends up showing off the sculpting unlike Destructicon Blight's. Out of all the Constructicons, Bonecrusher/Sledge have the best robot modes, but that's not saying a whole lot in my opinion.

Transformation: 9 - Hides the robot mode fairly well and is part of a gestalt.
Durability: 10 - Solid figure with only one part to lose and nothing to come loose.
Fun: 6 - Not a whole lot of fun on its own. I'm not a fan of construction equipment for display and the robot mode is sooooo basic.
Price: 9 - It is a basic, but only worth the price if you're going for the gestalt...
Summary: 7 - ...and even then that's questionable. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're going for Constructicon Maximus...which I also wouldn't recommend.
