AWF 1/10 Mayhem Results & Sky High Redemption COMPLETE CARD!

Post by Plasmodium »

AWF Thursday Night Mayhem
January 10, 2002

As Mayhem comes on the air, the camera focuses on a table in the center of the ring. In each corner of the ring stands an official in a suit. In the centre of the ring stands the announcer.

"Ladies and gentlemen, your attention please. At this time, I would like to introduce to you the Chairman of the AWF - Mr Chris Vaccaro!"

The Archivetron flashes the message "On your feet for your King!" and the man who runs things appears at the top of the stage. He takes the time to wave to the crowd, a bundle of papers in his hand. He slowly makes his way down the aisle, stopping to chat to fans, sign autographs and kiss babies. Eventually he reached the ring, and ascends the steps. He steps through the ropes and, grinning widely, takes the microphone from the announcer.
"Hey Kids!"

"What?!" comes the reply from the crowd.

The Chairman rolls his eyes and smiles. "I love you people. I'm the goddamn best thing to happen to this company, dontcha think?"

"What?!"

"We got a lot of Skywarp fans in tonight eh? Well, ol Stone Cold ain't on the bill tonight..."

"What?!"

"But he will be on the card this Sunday on our first ever Pay Per View! What a link, eh? I rule."

"What?!"

"Well, I didn't come out here to chat. Important business to attend to - we've got a match to sign right here, right now!" The lights dim, and the theme tune to the Sixties TV show "The Avengers" pumps through the sound system. From behind the curtain emerges Cliffjumper, and the crowd goes wild. In one hand he carries a comic, in the other a baseball bat. Never let it be said this competitor never comes prepared for all eventualities.

Upon reaching the ring, he grabs a steel chair from ringside and slides into the squared circle. He quickly unfolds the chair, and commences his reading.
Suddenly the arena erupts into a chorus of boos, mixed with general indifference, as Rock appears at the top of the ramp. Suddenly a squadron of armed police burst past him, and take up positions surrounding the ring.

Rock slides into the ring, and immediately starts a verbal assault against all who'll listen, complaining about Cliffjumper getting preferential treatment. The phrases "unmitigated bias", "never even seen a wrestling match" are bandied around. (Later reports would suggest that the phrase "indecent, lewd, suggestive, should be banned" was applied to the presence of a fire extinguisher in the dressing room area... these allegations may or may not have had foundation.)

Vaccaro resumes his speech. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to watch these two fine athletes sign this bit of paper!" he holds a contract aloft. "This Sunday at Redemption, these two fine examples of humanity," he points at Rock and Cliffjumper, still reading "will fight it out in the ring!"

The crowd cheers.

"Now, there will be a stipulation attached to this match!"

"What?!"

"The loser, whoever they may be, must leave - for EVER!!"

"What?!"

"It's a retirement match."

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"

"Idiots. Anyway, by signing this contract, the two agree to the terms I have laid out." The Chief lays down the contract on the table, and offers a pen to Rock.

Disgusted, Rock pushes away Vaccaro's hand, and produces his own pen from inside his jacket. He examines the contract blankly, before somebody points at the part that needs signing. Rock hovers his pen above the page, and puts a big black "X" in the place of his signature.

Satisfied, Vaccaro moved the contract to the other side of the table "And now Cliffjumper will sign!"

Cliffjumper didn't even look up, he produced a fountain pen with a flourish and signed the bottom of the page in a thick red ink, without even looking away from his comic.
"Obnoxious punk." Came a mutter from across the ring. Cliffy's fingers immediately groped for the baseball bat. Security quickly slid into the ring and whisked both competitors out of the ring.

Now alone in the middle of the ring, Vaccaro spoke up again "And that's that signed! Yes, we were desperate for material... don't worry, there's some matches coming up later. Have a nice evening, I'll see you at Redemption! This Sunday! On TFA Network! Where none of the tables that go into the ring will ever leave in one piece!" he patted the surface of the table, and left the ring.

European Title Tournament Semifinals
Kickback vs. Mirage

The crowd settled as the announcer stood from his chair.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest will be one fall, and the next stage of the European Championship Tournement." The crowd erupted into chorus' of boo's as Powerman 5000's "Drop the Bombshell" echoed through the arena. "Making his way to the ring, being accompanied by Bombshell, Kickback!!
As the titantron flashed up their entrance video the two members of The Hive emerged from backstage and began the walk to the ring...the crowd by the ramp taunted the pair, Bombshell stopping and staring down a member of the audience holding a "Squash all bugs" sign.

Kickback entered the ring, and leant into the corner, his brash and cocky demeanour not going down well with the crowd.
Police Truck blasted through the arena as Mirage made his way to the ring...running down the ramp, he had an almost en-raged look to him...as though something had not gone as planned.

Mirage glanced at Bombshell as he left the ring, and Kickback lifted himself from the rope, the two began exchange words, Kickback started talking trash at Mirage calling him, amongst other things, binky. Mirage shoved Kickback who stumbled a step or two backwards, before lunging into Mirage.
The referee signalled and the match was underway! Kickback had Mirage pinned to the canvas repeatedly beating his head with vicious right-hands which busted Mirage open. The referee pulled Kickback off Mirage and warned him to keep it clean or he'd DQ Kickback.

Mirage though had tasted his own blood, and began lifting himself up, just in time for Kickback to walk along and kick him square in the ribs. Mirage was obviously hurting, despite The Hive helping him out in his match against Jetfire, The Hive were all business in this match and Kickback was determined to go on to glory.

Kickback stalked Mirage once again, working him back into the corner, then slingshotting the bloodied Mirage to the opposite then charging in with a clothesline knocking the already battered Mirage silly. It was obvious that Kickback intended to finish the match early as he landed a DDT on his opponent and pinned. 1....2....Mirage kicked out!

In shock and disbelief Bombshell shouted encouragement for his partner in the ring. Kickback stood up and began stomping on Mirage who's body had gone limp after miraculously kicking out of the pinfall. Kickback scooped up his opponent and slammed him down onto the mat hard.

He climbed to the top rope and lept landing a diving elbow from the top rope. Again Kickback went for the pinfall 1...2...MIRAGE KICKED OUT AGAIN. Infuriated Bombshell jumped up onto the ring apron prompting the referee to march over and try to get Bombshell down. This gave Kickback the opportunity he needed, lifting up Mirage again, he struggled to balance. Kickback reached into his tights and pulled out brass knucks and levelled Mirage, knocking his out cold and busting him wide open again, quickly concealing the knucks in his tights again, Bombshell retreated from the ring apron allowing the referee to turn around and hit the mat 1...2.......3!!

Kickback won the match and Powerman 5000 blasted out through the arena again, Bombshell slid into the ring and hailed his partner who had now mounted the turnbuckles and symboled a belt around his waist. The crowd booed as he dropped down to the mat, high-fived Bombshell and made his way backstage, sure to watch the Sixswitch vs. Windcharger match later in the night to determine his opponent at Sky High Redemption.

A crew of EMTs then ran down to ringside and shuffled Mirage onto a strecher as AWF Mayhem went to a break...

Intercontinental Title Tournament Quarterfinals
Weirdwolf & Monzo Vs Reflector

Placing the misery of not having any action in last week's AWF Mayhem Weirdwolf made their way to the ring the sounds of Hell's Bells by AC/DC echoing through the arena. As he entered the ring and his music stopped a video flashed up on the titantron oh 5 hooded men in black TWF t-shirts stuffing something into a limo. Weirdwolf stared in anger as they sped off.

Weirdwolf made his way up the ramp in a rage to see what was going on when Reflector's entrance music erupted into the arena. The crowd went hysterical awaiting the arrival of the monolith, but to no avail, it appears as though whatever the TWF members bundled into the car must've been Reflector.
Weirdwolf turned towards the ring and headed back down when suddenly Reflector rushed from behind the curtain and attacked Weirdwolf from behind. Weirdwolf hit the ground and rolled down the ramp slightly as Reflector kicked him towards the ring.
At ringside Reflector signalled to the crowd, they all began cheering as he rolled Weirdwolf into the ring and the match got underway.

Reflector had the advantage from the beginning, stomping a few times on Weirdwolf before lifting him to his feet and connecting with a couple of left-handers, rocking the big man, Flec ran to the ropes and hit Weirdwolf with a diving forearm knocking him to the canvas. Flec once more picked Weirdwolf up and whipped him to the ropes, Flec swung for the clothesline but Weirdwolf ducked underneath and stopped dead in his tracks. Reflector turned just in time for Weirdwolf's massive right hand to connect squarely on his chin, Flec hit the mat and bounced back up coming back at Weirdwolf, but again he was knocked down. He tried again, but Weirdwolf scooped him up and slammed him onto the mat, walking round to Flec's upper torso Weirdwolf jumped in the air and landed a huge leg drop on Flec knocking the wind out of him.

Weirdwolf went for the quick cover but only got a two count as Flec powered out of the pinning predicament. Flec attempted to stand using the ropes for leverage, but only managed to get to the second rope before Weirdwolf was on him pounding his back. Weirdwolf grabbed Reflector in a side head-lock and marched him to the centre of the ring where he began to motion to the crowd that he was setting up for The Howl, Flec took the time to elbow Weirdwolf in the gut, then run to the ropes and clothesline Weirdwolf who staggered backwards. Flec again ran to the ropes and, in a change of tactics, lept into the air and drop-kicked Weirdwolf clean out of the ring!

As the referee began the count Weirdwolf stood up, groggy and confused he stumbled around, Flec ran to the ropes opposite and dived over the ropes hitting Weirdwolf with an amazing cross body. The two contestents lay on the floor battered, Flec was the first to his feet as the referee reached the count of 4. He stood over Weirdwolf and to excitement of the crowd lifted him above his head, then dropped him down to the security barrier..."6"...the referee's count continued as Flec stomped on Weirdwolf, then slung him back in the ring. Flec climbed to the top rope and landed a knee drop before signalling to the crowd for The Ancient Japanese Art of Satisfaction. As Flec knelt by Weirdwolf, Weirdwolf appeared to spit in Flec's eye, un-deterred however Flec lifted Weirdwolf's head and began beating it. Flec then applied The Ancient Japanese Art of Satisfaction, Weirdwolf tapped out after a few seconds handing the victory to Reflector!

"Reeko" blasted out across the arena as Flec mounted the turnbuckle and struck a pose so all his fan's could get a snapshot of him!

European Title Tournament Semifinals
Windcharger vs. Sixswitch

The music of John Lennon began to play over the stadium and Windcharger’s music video played. The announcer stood in the middle of the ring. “Ladies and Gentleman, the next match is scheduled for one fall and is the semi-finals of the European Title Tournament.” Windcharger made his first appearance and the audience immediately began to cheer. Windcharger did his trademark “Icky Shuffle” to raise the loudness of the audience’s cheers. The fighter from Wales entered the ring and the crowd didn’t get a chance to settle down as Sixswitch’s music began to play right away and another fan favourite from Wales appeared. He gave the audience high fives as he ran to the ring. He slid in to the ring and faced Windcharger. The two Welsh wrestlers stared each other down for a few seconds before they locked arms.

Sixswitch was able to overpower the smaller Windcharger and pushed him into the corner of the ring. Windcharger got his feet up as Sixswitch charged into him. Sixswitch staggered back as Windcharger jumped up to the bottom ropes and pushed off of them sending him flying into Sixswitch. Windcharger knocked Sixswitch down and stayed on him. He got behind him and put his countryman in a sleeper hold. Sixswitch managed to squirm his way out and hit Windcharger with an elbow to the stomach. Sixswitch ran into the ropes and went after Windcharger with a clothesline but Windcharger ducked it. Sixswitch bounced off the ropes on the other side of the ring and then did a cartwheel that he turned into a drop kick and nailed Windcharger in the head, knocking him down.

Sixswitch quickly got to his feet and pulled Windcharger to the middle of the ring where he landed an elbow drop and went for the quick cover. The referee got to two before Windcharger was able to kick out. Sixswitch pulled Windcharger to his feet and quickly sent him back into the mat with a Russian leg sweep. He then pulled him up a second time and delivered a swinging neck breaker. Unfortunately the referee was accidentally pushed into the turnbuckle during the manoeuvre and was knocked out. Windcharger was also knocked out after the move and lay on his back with Sixswitch on top of him, who was waiting for the three-count. He turned around and saw the unconscious referee. He got up and tried to wake the ref, but it was no use. Windcharger was starting to move, so Sixswitch decided it was time to seal the deal. He climbed to the top of the ropes in one of the corners as the crowd went wild cheering him on. He gave the crowd a thumbs up before he leaped off the top into a Swanton Bomb. As he was spinning in the air, Windcharger had regained enough composure to quickly role out of the way and Sixswitch landed hard on his back on the unforgiving ring mat. Both men and the referee were now laying flat in the ring.

The crowd was cheering on their two fallen heroes to get up, but it all turned to boos as Silly Cow appeared at the top of the runway with a steel chair in his hand. He was obviously still disgruntled at his loss to Sixswitch the week before and was looking for some payback. He climbed onto the ring apron just as Sixswitch was beginning to get to his feet. Even more boos were heard as Lord Sixshot made an appearance at the top of the runway. She must have been upset about her loss to Windcharger and wanted payback too. Just as Silly Cow was about to hit Sixswitch with the steel chair she nailed him with a low blow and the disgruntled wrestler fell off the apron, dropping the chair in the centre of the ring. Sixswitch was still groggy and stumbled into the corner just as Windcharger was making his way to his feet. Sixshot glared at the two competitors in the ring and then returned to the back, much to the disappointment of most of the men in the audience.

Windcharger was finally on his feet and saw the steel chair lying in the ring. He also saw Silly Cow lying outside of the ring, obviously in pain from the shot to his lower extremities. He picked up the chair in disgust and was about to throw it out of the ring, unfortunately for him, the referee was finally regaining his composure and saw Windcharger with the chair in his hands. The referee immediately began signalling for the bell. He walked to the ring announcer. The ring announcer got his microphone and said, “The winner of this match, as a result of a disqualification, Sixswitch!”

Boos were heard from all over the stadium. Windcharger slammed the chair into the ground in frustration. He walked over to the referee and immediately started arguing but the referee wouldn’t hear any of it. Fans began to throw things at the referee and he quickly made his way to the backstage area. Sixswitch stood in the middle of the ring watching the instant replay on the screen. Windcharger was making his way to the back in disgust; fans patted his back as he walked along. Sixswitch ran up to him and began talking to him. The crowd fell silent as they watched to see if the two would start fighting again, but instead of fighting, the two countrymen shook hands and then Windcharger lifted Sixswitch’s hand to declare him the victor. The crowd cheered for their two heroes as they made their way to the backstage area and both men received pats on the back from fans that they walked by. Sixswitch walked a little taller that day, happy with the knowledge that the services of the beautiful and dangerous Lord Sixshot would now be his.

Intercontinental Title Tournament Quarterfinals
Savannahtron vs. Grimlock

Backstage, Savannahtron is about to be interviewed when Grimlock decides to jumpstart the match. No fancy intros, no fanfare, just all out war! His initial attack of body punches works Savannahtron over, then a knee to the midsection reels him to the ground. A ref crew comes to Savannahtron’s aid, but Grimlock is not about to relent with a shot at the Intercontinental Title on the line.

Utilizing his devastating body punches, he literally batters Savannahtron down to the ring. Taking a few moments to glare at the jeering fans, buys Savannahtron a few precious seconds to recover…and to grab a chair! As the ref comes to take it away, it distract Grimlock just long enough for Savannahtron to hit him with a running elbow smash, then bounce off the ropes to drive his knee into Grimlock’s thigh.

Writhing in pain Grimlock starts to pull himself up with the ropes only to find his legs kicked out from under him. Now firmly in control and recovered from an earlier beating, Savannahtron raises the leg and begins to kick at the back of Grimlock’s knee, hoping to at the very least, eliminate his opponent’s ability to employ the back fallaway slam.

Obviously hobbled, Grimlock pulls himself to the corner. Savannahtron answers this by grabbing each of Grimlock’s ankles and pulling him out of the corner, dropping him squarely on the back of his skull. Sensing it’s nearly over, Savannahtron pulls him to the center of the ring and picks him up for a suplex. But Grimlock rolls through and lands right at Savannahtron’s ankle giving him a chance to pull him down into the ankle lock submission right in the middle of the ring. Much as he struggles, Savannahtron is unable to break the hold…yet he refuses to tap, in spite of Grimlock’s taunts and the ref’s insistence. Finally, able to stand no more pain, Savannahtron can no longer answer the referee and simply passes out.

Though the winner, Grimlock is visually angered by Savannahtron’s bravado and repays the gallant effort with continued exposure to the ankle lock. The referee calls for back up, but even with four referees, the hold cannot be broken. The bell rings, the crowd jeers, until finally Grimlock breaks the hold and leaves the ring with a sadistic smile on his face. Finally coming around, Savannahtron refuses to be carried out and limps to the back to a standing ovation from the AWF fans.

Intercontinental Title Tournament Quarterfinals
Unicron vs. OmegaDenmad

Omega makes his way to an echo of cheers and adoration. He smiles and looks out at the sea of fans who adore him…it is not to last as the lights are soon killed in anticipation of Unicron’s entrance. As “Blood Brothers” begins to play he slowly makes his way to the ring area slowly surveying all who look upon him. A quiet hush descends upon the crowd as he steps into the ring and the lights come back up. Immediately, Omega takes the offensive…hoping to strike fast and catch Unicron off guard. He lands several shots, which staggers the big man, then tries for a drop kick, only to have it shrugged off an find himself tossed to the ground.

A second and third wave of attacks proves no more successful, until he hits upon a new strategy and drop kicks Unicron’s knee out from under him. Unfortunately, this success is not followed up upon as Unicron returns to his feet as Omega commences a brief celebration. As he turns, he is greeted by a chokeslam from hell. Unicron then lifts him back up to deliver the tombstone and score the 1, 2, 3.

Backstage - NFHG gazes vapidly into camera...

"Well ladies and gentlemen, only three days away - this Sunday, the 13th of January: AWF Sky High Redemption!

"I for one can't wait, it's gonna be an absolute barnstormer! Among the great line up of matches, the Tag Team Championship up for grabs, as two thirds of the Triumverate, Galvatron91 and Addl, go head to head with Redstreak and a mystery partner! But will they? The Trium members recently agreeing to a match against Blitzwing 2 and Blaster_86 here tonight... what they didn't realise at the time was that the contract stipulates that if Galvatron91 and Addl fail to win the match, then it will be their opponents who go to Redemption instead. That match is coming up later on tonight, our main event here.

"Redemption doesn't stop there of course. We'll also have the final of the European Title tournament, along with the semi's and the final for the Intercontinental Championship.

"First time ever: AWF Retirement Match! Cliffjumper takes on Rock, under loser-leaves rules! One of these men will be out of the Federation permanently by the time we go off air on Sunday. I can only guess that if we get a no-decision, then they're both outta here!

"Another first time match - The Three Way Dance! This is gonna be a real highlight of the show – S-Ghost, Brendocon and Computron take on each other in an elimation match. All three men will be in the ring at the same time, anybody can gain a result over anybody else - once somebody's beaten, they're outta there, leaving the other two to go at it mano-et-mano. The history of this match goes way back... but it's the direct culmination of events from the Royal Rumble. Brendocon and the Ghost had formed what many called an "unholy alliance" in the months before the event... but Brendocon was believed to have broken the alliance just prior to the Rumble. The three men were involved in the event at the same time, the Heartbrend Kid on the receiving end of some heavy punishment from Compughost, but then the true extent of the alliance was revealed – S-Ghost turning on his long time tagteam partner, and assisting Brendocon in eliminating Computron. Brend and SG then went on to dominate the ring, blitzing the opposition until StoneCold was eliminated unfairly, and went ballistic. Skywarp nailed all the remaining competitors with a Stunner before taking off. The two allies made it into the last four, with two members of the Insecticon Hive... before Brendocon double-crossed S-Ghost, proving once and for all, that there are no friends, only foes, in the Royal Rumble. Incensed at his elimination, the Ghost then played a direct part in Brendocon's elimination. Hence this weekend's match - the reward for the winner: an AWF Title shot. The goal for each competitor: Redemption. Computron wants revenge for his betrayal at the hands of his ex partner S-Ghost; Ghost wants his own back on Brendocon for the triple-cross that caused the breakup of all his remaining alliances; and Brendocon feels he would have won the Rumble had S-Ghost not stuck his nose back in. One thing's for sure - it's gonna be brutal.

"It's gonna be a night of revenge in three matches - Rock against Cliffjumper, the Three Way, and the Main Event - AWF Champion Shrapnel defending the gold against the only other combatant not to be eliminated from the Rumble - "StoneCold" Skywarp!
"AWF Redemption: "Sky High Redemption" - this Sunday only on TFA Network!"

Intercontinental Title Tournament Quarterfinals
*Predaking* vs. Bombshell

As Mayhem returned to the air, the bell was ringing to begin the match between *Predaking* and Bombshell to see who would go on to Sky High Redemption and who would watch the show on PPV. Bombshell gained the advantage with an open-handed slap that caught Predaking by surprise. Bombshell wrapped up a headlock and sent Predaking into the ropes, then floored him with a jumping knee to the face. Bombshell tried to drop the elbow but the swift Predaking avoided the move, then went for an elbow of his own that connected. Predaking picked up Bombshell and hurled him into the ropes, cutting Bombshell down to the mat with a shoulderblock. Predaking wrapped up a headlock that took some of the steam out of Bombshell. He then released the hold, ran the ropes and went for a dropkick, but Bombshell caught him at the last instant and slammed him to the mat.

Taking the advantage, Bombshell picked up Predaking and heaved him into the ropes, nailing him with a clothesline followed by an elbowdrop. He only got a two count, but kept up the pressure with a stunning powerslam. Once again, he could only get two. Bombshell picked up Predaking for a second powerslam, but Predaking began to struggle about and the two toppled through the ropes to the outside.

Both men took a moment getting to their feet, but Predaking got the advantage when he clotheslined Bombshell straight over the security railing into the aisle in the crowd! Predaking followed Bombshell over the railing and, keeping up the pressure, heaved him back over the rail into the ring area. However, as Predaking tried to climb back over the railing, a fan in the front row in a dark hat and jacket grabbed Predaking’s leg and refused to let go! Predaking tried to shake the fan off, but he would not budge. As the referee continued to count, Predaking wound up and leveled the fan with a right hand! His hat went flying, and he was revealed to be Shockwave! Before Predaking could make it back, however, the referee had already counted to ten, and Bombshell had made it back just in time to beat the count and win by countout! Irritated by the loss, Predaking turned and chased Shockwave up through the crowd and out of the arena, where Shockwave finally hopped into a waiting car and made his escape, having successfully shafted Predaking for no discernable reason!

Galvy91 & Addl vs. Blitzwing 2 & Blaster86

Returning from the final commercial break, the crowd watched on the big screen as cameras followed Ravage through the backstage area. Finding what he was looking for, he burst through a locker room door and found Dai and Brawn already duking it out! Ravage launched himself across the room and speared both men to the floor! Ravage grabbed the two men and bashed their heads together, then grabbed a trash can and dented it over Dai’s head until referees broke up the melee!

Back in the arena, the seeming oddball team of Blitzwing and Blaster stood in the ring, waiting for the appearance of the Triumverate to determine who would vie for the vacant tag team championship at Sky High Redemption. The lights dimmed, and Motorhead’s “The Game” blasted as the curtains parted and revealed Galvy and Addl accompanied by their Triumverate partner and #1 AWF Title contender Stone Cold Skywarp. The three superstars took their time getting to the ring, taking in the amazing crowd reaction. Addl and Galvy climbed through the ropes while Skywarp stayed on the outside, and the match was underway. Galvy and Blitzwing started the match, and Galvy immediately got the advantage by breaking a wrap-up by heaving Blitz into the corner. Galvy moved in and booted Blitz in the midsection, then hurled him across the ring into the opposite corner. Blitz came out strong and nailed Galvy with a clothesline, sending him stumbling into the ropes. Galvy let his momentum take over, however, and came off running, leveling Blitz with a clothesline of his own. Galvy picked up Blitz and carried him to the corner, then flattened him with a hard powerslam. Galvy dragged Blitz to the corner and tagged Addl, and the two men combined to stomp Blitz into the mat. Addl picked up his opponent and heaved him into the ropes, jumped up and smacked the sides of Blitz’s head with his forearms. Blitz fell away from that move just enough to reach his corner and tag Blaster.

Blaster came out strong and hit Addl with a succession of punches, pushing Addl up against the ropes. Blaster heaved him across the way and scored with a reverse elbow, then ran over and punched Galvy as he rested on the apron. Galvy stepped through the ropes and tried to get to Blaster, but the referee held him back and Blaster switched with Blitzwing (without a tag) while the referee was distracted. Blitzwing locked a headlock in on Addl and began to wear him down, letting several minutes elapse as Addl grew more and more exhausted under Blitz’s heavy frame. As he began to fade, Addl made one desperate lunge for the ropes and made it, breaking the hold. Blitz picked up Addl and tagged Blaster, then heaved him into the ropes. Locking hands, the two men leveled Addl with a double-clothesline, knocking him to the mat. Using quick tags, Blaster brought Blitzwing right back in and the duo flattened Addl with a double-clothesline. Keeping the pressure on, Blitz tagged Blaster and the two men heaved Addl into the ropes. This time, however, Addl avoided their double-clothesline and knocked THEM down instead, then stumbled to the corner and tagged Galvy!

A house of fire, Galvy rushed in and grabbed Blitz by the hair, heaving him over the ropes and onto the floor! Blaster tried to attack, but Galvy caught him coming in and laced into him with reckless abandon, leveling Blaster with a running dropkick followed by a bulldog slam! Galvy hurled Blaster into the ropes and jumped, nailing Blaster with a knee to the face as he was in midair!

Meanwhile, Addl and Blitz were battling it out on the floor, and when Skywarp inadvertently got tied up in the exchange, the referee leaned through the ropes to investigate. Skywarp freed himself and ran around the ring, picking up a chair from the announcer’s table. He jumped into the ring and headed straight for Blaster, swinging the chair wildly. Unfortunately for him, Blaster ducked out of the way and Skywarp inadvertently nailed Galvy with the chair! Galvy crumpled to the mat and Blaster kicked Skywarp in the stomach, knocking him through the ropes to the outside. That chair shot was just enough as Blaster fell on top of Galvy for the three count and the victory!!! As the crowd looked on in shock, Blitz reached in and dragged the exhausted Blaster from the ring, escaping up the aisle with their shot at the Tag Team Title at Sky High Redemption secure!!!
