That looks very reasonable - and the paintscheme is very reminiscent of the Titanium's repaint of Rodders into Menasor.

Drench? Wheeljack? Sideswipe?

Or bad photoshop, considering the rear part?

Based on this old unreleased Universe "Battle in a Box" two-pack, nontheless.

Looks a bit too fake to me...

And damn it all to hell, why didn't they release that Smokescreen?

Possibly a first look at the Botcon Shattered Glass Megatron? It appears that Don Figueroa is using the image below as his new avatar over at TFW2005, and speculation is that it is from the Botcon comic and of Megs. Could be, looks like Energon Megatron's body to me. Head looks different though.

I like the Roddy and Blurr. Not too impressed by Deluge. I'll be interested in seeing more of Megs.

You know, I really don't mind that one. Mind you I wouldn't pay much more than retail for a deluxe figure of this sort, but the colors and beard are not that bad.

So, at this point, we're down to the 'mystery Drench' figure? Has there been any news on that one?

And, of course.. Megatron.

That's nice, but Roddy does not seem happy with the new paintjob, no siree.

Message to Club Members regarding BotCon.

Post by secretcode »

Hello!

This is going out to all club members:

BotCon is coming in just a few short weeks! If you are planning to attend as a registered attendee or dealer, to get you into regular registration we must have your forms by 5pm on Thursday April 10 as we have to generate the dealer layout and badges for over 1,000 guests.

If you want to register after that date, you must come to late registration on Friday April 25 at 9:30 at the Duke Energy Center.

Also there are still a few rooms available at the Millennium Hotel. (info at BotCon.com)

Please let all the boards know about this cutoff date.

It is going to be a great show!

See you there!

Brian

PS. Our offices will be closed from April 21-April 29 for BotCon.

It's not so much 'bland' as it's more that it looks like everything ELSE we've seen for the past decade.

Possible Legal Actions to be taken for those selling Stolen BotCon Figures (Now I know why there is a shortage)

???: "Brian Savage"
???:
??: Stolen BotCon items
??: Tue, 15 Apr 2008 21:43:20 -0500
This is going out to each Ebay seller who has recently tried to auction
BotCon toys. All of they toys you are selling are stolen. You know
this
when you buy them out of the package.

As you see, I have the power to cancel your auctions and I have each of
your personal information provided by Ebay.

If you do not want us to continue prosecuting you through the police
and
Ebay (who will cancel your account), you need to return the stolen
property to me or to Hasbro in China.

If I don't here back from you that you have shipped our items back in
48
hours, I will press forward with both Ebay and the police. Consider
this your only warning.

You can send the items to me at:

Brian Savage
Fun Publications, Inc.
225 Cattle Baron Parc Dr
Fort Worth Texas 76108

or

Antony Bao
Hasbro
$)AIn[Z;*GH3G6+2?9$R5Gx6~:E3'7?NeB%/ Antony Bao/ 0755-26901222-693

Thanks for your attention in this matter. Even if YOU didn't steal it.

Selling stolen property is a punishable offense.

Do not ever purchase ANY Transformers from Chinese auctions or vendors
as Hasbro is also looking to prosecute.

Regards,

Brian Savage

Narked, isn't he?

I get that he's narked, especially with BC toys in short supply, but really, I'm guessing that most of the people he's sniping at are simply over-zealous nerds who think they've dropped on a bargain and are re-selling for a quick buck.

He is, of course, perfectly within his rights to do as he says (and good for him for doing so), but its just his attitude in general. If he's that bothered, why not just go ahead and prosecute and/or 'ebay-bee-otch-smack' anyway? as he says, he does have the power [/he-man reference].

I'm sure hes a lovely guy, but between this and the poor general presentation of the collectors club (including the shabby website/emails and under-production of BC exclusives), this guy is not someone I would want as my PR guy, when I eventually take over the world am the head of a major corporation...
