Singular. This is all Brendan. In looking around online for pointers I got the distinct impression that this old and modified forum software wouldn't work with the backend it's currently running on, but it seems fine.

Sorry it took so long to fix, it came down to a mysql password issue, I reset it and everything started working again. I still need to secure a bunch more stuff but it looks like everything is working.

Due to the age of the server and the number of packages that need to be updated I've decided to move to a new server for a clean start. That server is online and I'm just doing some final prep before I start moving stuff over. As an added bonus it will cost ~$30 less a month for a more powerful machine. :D

As with all the server migrations I've done over the years, I plan on doing it as non-disruptively as possible so I hope to only have to take down the forums for 30-60 minutes during the final transition.

Well said.

It's not often said but I think most of us really appreciate the work you guys do in the day to day, not just when the big stuff like this happens. For a lot of us this has been an online home long enough to make us feel old and a place where genuine friendships have been built.
Erm, sorry, got a bit Dawson's Creek there (finger firmly on the pulse of pop culture with that reference). Still, thanks guys.

We take for granted that the archive will just be there when we push a button, so sorry it takes an outage for us to appreciate all the behind the scenes stuff that keeps us happy.

Someone cue up "Don't Know What You Got 'Til It's Gone" for me!

Yes, it is easy to forget that websites are not magic. The work to keep TFArchive going is much appreciated.

All of you being sincere has made my jokey response seem really out of place.
