Guess he realised he didn't have Distin covering his backside this time.

Am I alone in finding the whole thing utterly hilarious?

Guess he can't quite cope with the step up.

Mmm, it is brilliant... nothing against County for me, it's just brilliant that Campbell can't cope with getting owned by Morecambe. Still, he did make it through the whole 90 minutes this time...

So a pampered, overpaid professional can't cut it in the lower leagues? Nothing about this is shocking to me

No real surprise there. Just amazed it was so quick. I had him pegged as leaving in January.

Apparently he was promised they'd follow his signing by buying Roberto Carlos and Benjani. Which, if true, just makes him an utter mug.

Though he has hit out at suggestions that going to Morecambe was a culture shock by suggesting that their facilities were still better than Fratton Park.

God almighty... "So, Benjani, do you want to stop earning vast sums of money for not really doing much, or vast sums of money to be the designated target of resentful League 2 defenders every week?". The only big names County are going to land are the sort of players who've been on ridiculous money the past couple of years, but now no-one wants a mentally inscure old knacker. Didn't Newcastle decide against signing him a month or so ago?
