I need some examples of a sound bite that either is constantly used out context and incorrectly, or that really has taken on a meaning of its own outside of its original use. If you've got any you can think of, I'd appreciate it.
On a side note for anyone fluent in German: Is it true that, while the people fully understood what he meant, when Kennedy proclaimed "Ich bin ein Berliner," he literally said not "I am a person living in Berlin" but "I am a jelly-filled donut"?
