I think this was all one incident, but over the course of the argument she called 911 three times.
In terms of ringing her up for something that's run out, that happens all the time. Usually it ends up running out just before the order, and the cashier doesn't know about it. Standard procedure is to offer a refund. Someone definitely should have been let go for refusing to do so. That's poor customer service.

Nope. Someone did something silly and it made the news. In fact race wasn't mentioned at all until your post . . .rattrap23 wrote:Dose anyone else find this kind of stereotypical and racist?
I wonder if the cashier used to work for Circuit City ... it sounds like their customer service style.Hound wrote:First, why would the cashier have let her order, then pay for something they were out of?
Second, why would she let them do that to her a third time? Well even a second time really...
I'd like to know if anyone at that McDonald's was let go over it.

When I heard this, I thought it was a joke. And apparently it wasn't. Where I work, we get crazies like that all the time too sadly. So yes, to answer a question above, we should have rights to hunt stupid people who do Darwin Awards quality stuff (the book is great on the idiocy of humanity in any Humor section of a book store)....

That's McDonald's. It seems that she just snapped. It shows how willing McDonald's is willing to roll over for people. That infamous "coffee incident," seems to have given them spines of putty. I mean she didn't deserve the comp, after calling 911. I wonder if she can redeem her McDonald's gift certificate while in jail?

I'd rather go nuts, truthfully, over popeye's chicken or something more edible in my view. And to comment on rattrap's question on if this is "racist", I have several black soul brother and sister friends who will heartily admit they are the stereotypical black person by eating fried chicken, and they're quite proud of the fact. I don't mean to beat the dead horse in all honesty, I just had some time to think on it and how I would show my point of view on the racism comments. Anywho, I hope this woman learned her lesson to not waste 911's time on being the boy, or in this case girl, who cried wolf. Because if people keep doing this and do not get punished, then sooner or later 911 operators will hang up on people if things do turn out to be serious, rather than " McD's ran out of Nuggets! I need help!". If I had been this branch's district manager, I would ban that woman from my stores for life. Just my view though...The Wild One wrote:That's McDonald's.
