You're happily drunk...
You're with your mates...
You're up on the dancefloor [or what-f*ckin-ever... I'm not in a mood for dealing with pedants]
There's one song left to play...

What one d'ya want, and why?

Mine? Guns 'n' Roses, Sweet Child O' Mine. Back to back air guitars and drunken Axel impressions! The perfect end to a night out!

A brief note: People don't care what you don't do. If you don't go out, don't dance and don't have fun, we don't care...

'Angels' by Robbie Williams. It works so well as a final song, as I found a couple of years ago in a pub. Everyone sings their hearts out to it in a mad drunken happy style. Unite's one and all. Brilliant.

Excellent topic Cliffjumper you cliffjumping minibot you:)

Psst Sky, I think I coaxed out another alt ID... two people liking Robbie Williams who are intelligent enough to operate a PC? Not likely ;)

Save a Soul by Mauro Picotto - one of the best dance tracks ever.

OK, we have an eejit in our midst.

He's talking about songs, not drinkin'. Assume you're out of money.

I'd want the last song to be Let's Get Ready to Rumble, just because it's funny and one of the best songs to listen to when you're drunk. The 90's were so cool. :)

Cheesy 80s stuff works really well, but the best end of night one is the grange hill theme tune. Seriously, this club I used to go to played it sometimes as their end of nighter. Class.

Oh except for one special circumstance, ight before new year's eve 99, height of nostradamus paranoia and the like, and they play REM's End of the World. Fantastic.

No, see, I always grab some drinks for the road when closing time is on the horizon. I leave that "last song" crap for someone else.

Well, wherever I am the last song played always seems to be Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, when you're a group of drunkards it's always a good sing-a-long

But my ideal choice for the last to be played would be Too Drunk To F**k by The Dead Kennedys

Then frankly leave the topic for someone else. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've had it up to here with irrelevant crap like that. I bet several other people thought 'I have no real opinion on the matter, therefore I will not post'. These are the proper people. To paraphrase my opening post, if you don't get up and dance for the last song, don't bother telling us, because we don't care.

Perfect song to end a good night for me (although I'm not exactly one for clubs and pubs) would have to be ....

Chilli Peppers: Under the Bridge

I don't have a reason, I just think it's a contender for best song ever award.

In one of York's club the end song is usually that one from grease/Grease 2 about freinds with dodgy words.
