Someone needs to go on suicide watch for Jets ...

In all seriousness though, the gooners really need to dip their feet into the transfer market now and pluck out a ****ing miracle.

*prays we sign Torres*

Anyone seen that O'Neill wants Forlan for Villa ?? Ambitious little bastard.

Prays Arsenal spend all their money on Torres so we don't have to sign to overpriced, cannot score in a brothel striker.

Wenger's contract runs out the end of this season so will he sign another one or is he off to Barca too?

Henry leaving isn't the end of the world.

He playe less than half the game slast season and we earned more points than the season before. It should also be pointed out that va Persie and Adebayor played better with Henry absent.

Wenger always does this. Overmars, Petitt, Vieira and Edu were all sold as they past their peak and became injury prone frustrations for the future managers. Henry si always on a sliding scale here, he spent a excessive amount of time injured and it would only get worse from here.

As for our current team, Fabregas is the key player. Last season aganst teams in the top half only Man Utd earned more points (only 3 more) and did better than anybody against the top 4. Our only problem is turning up against the bottom half and taking our chances (there were over ten games last season where we failed to score with over 20 chances).

The team is clearly getting better, we are settled in our new home and the players are now experienced and confient plus we have already battered the top 4, most of theose games without Henry.

By the way I will miss Henry. I love him. The greatest player in my life time. The greatest Arsenal player ever.

I also love the Irony that his last home goal was a header agains't Man Utd because of the false criticism taht he a) Didn't fo it in big matches an b) Doesn't score headers.

It's a big shame for the English game... but I don't think this is quite Wenger's call just yet, so comparing it to his other admirable sales (though Viera seems to have settled nicely abroad - you can't argue with a couple of Scudettos [well, you can argue with the first] and being one of the players of the World Cup] is maybe a bit wide of the mark - while Van Persie, Bendtner (sp?) and Offside Boy all have promise, they're all still too mercurial to be the repalcement, say, Fabregas was for Pat. Plus if it was that simple, I'm pretty sure Arsene would have held on to either or both of Baptista or Aliadere if he'd really known, for depth if nothing else...

I agree Arsene really has to get the checkbook out now... the tabs are linking him to Anelka, and that'd be a good buy - by the time he gets his usual 18-month twitches, some of the kids might be more reliable. They need someone with a bit of experience, even if it isn't part of the master plan. Spurs, Newcastle and Villa could well close the gap, and if Arsenal were to finish 7th (and that is still a big "if") it could be pretty disastrous...

I had thought for a few years that newcastle should have been in the discussion as one of the tops, but they just seemed to spend money and then piss around on the second page of the tables.

It's a shame Henry's gone, but this could be Van persie's coming out party next season..

Henry was a legend, no doubt. I sincerely enjoyed watching him play over all these years and he produced some pure magic. But in the end, nobody is bigger than the team. Henry is getting older, he spent half of last season on the bench and the squad still finished 4th without him, led by Gilberto as captain.

Will I miss him and all he contributed to the club? Absolutely, but Arsenal will always be here and we have a ton of young talent and established stars. Henry is not the team, and Arsenal will be fine without him.

I am excited to see which transfers Wenger will make with the cash he got. I am keeping my eye on the transfer news daily for any breaking stories.
