TBH my first thought was that the DOTM one probably wasn't a billion miles away from scale - wasn't it about GI Joe-sized?

Yeah, roughly level with the top of Spartan's knee guards. Always seen him as more of an ankle biter anyway, versus the steroid-y design Roche has gone for with Sins.

Yeh, in that case I'd settle for the DOTM guy, certainly if I already had one at retail (Christ knows what the aftermarket's like for the guy). Him being dinky fits his role in Last Stand. Still not brave enough to try Sins.

Sins is really different. Two issues in now, and I think I'd rather go for the TPB of it. It feels like a mix of Transformers and X-Files. I'm not sold yet, whereas at this stage in Last Stand I totally was.

Maybe the final three issues will really kick things along. Its intriguing, but some of the dialogue is a bit odd and I feel thick for not getting it. Overall I haven't got that 'essential reading' feeling about it yet.

Part of the problem is that there's no standout character. There's no Ironfist or Top Spin-alike to root for. Most interesting one for me at the moment is Prowl. Its a shame because I really want to like Roadbuster or Stakeout, but its not there.

Yeh, I think I'm going to wait until it's over, weigh feedback and see if there's a nice companion piece hardback to go with Last Stand. So far TBH once you've ran most of the feedback through the whole purpose of accounting for the sanity of the reader it sounds like it's just another respectable TF comic, so I figure I can live without for the time being.

Still firmly of the opinion that Last Stand works because so many of the cast were dead by the end of it, not just in terms of drama but cauterisation; Overlord alone suffered massively from turning up in MTMTE, can't imagine how much I'd hate Ironfist if he was doing a four-year banter stint on the Lost Light.

I really liked his turn in MTMTE. He played Chromedome at his own game and made him look like a dick. Overlord's sick grin at that moment was superb, Chromedome deserved everything he got.

Ironfist has popped up in flashback in MTMTE and I've a sneaking suspicion he'll be feature heavily in a story arc involving the Primal Vanguard (again in flashback). I'm fine with that because Ironfist has a bit of the deviousness about him too.

Similarly, there may be stories that cover Overlord's tenure as Overlord of Garrus 9. Probably wholly unnecessary, but things that show how deeply grim it was for everyone there. Maybe something with a sting in the tail, too... like Prowl could have sped up the rescue process by 20 months, or he was on speaking terms with Overlord!

Wouldn't that make Prowl an absolute bitch, confirm Max's suspicions, make navvy Autobots weary of all high command (Prime and co) and reignite the war in a different way?

Rather sweet message from Fansproject (personally not getting them or the rest of the team apart from not-almost-Slog, who is ace...)

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php? ... 5295818799

"We have received much feedback on the Saurus: Ryo Shells and the all your concerns have been noted by us. Due to the size of the shell, we could not include the shell with each Dino-ichi figure as the user cost would be impossibly unacceptable. Originally the plans of making the shells was cancelled as it just was not financially viable.

We are huge fans of the original shells and so we just could not let the idea go and so we did end up creating the designs and a few proto-types were made. This bad business decision was sealed for us at that time. We really can only afford to make 500 sets of the shells at this time. We are sorry to be so blunt with the truth but honestly this project has really compromised our process, the factory, and of course, our fan’s wallets.

We have been asked if all the shells for the Saurus: Ryo set will be made and at this time we can confirm that yes, all the shells will be made for this set. We hope that the few who want these and can enjoy them, will know how much we want your set to be fully complete. We know this is not one of our best business decisions but being crazy fans of the original set, we had to see this project through completely and properly. We hope that even a small number of people can be pleased with this very extensive and very expensive set.

* We do want everyone to know that the Dino-oh figures themselves are fully complete and you won’t miss out on any of the fun without the shells. Each figure comes with everything needed to combine the full figure. Please consider when buying, the shells are not transformable, a very high price and will take a massive amount of space from your existing toy shelf displays. * "

That shell looks both cool and huge. No way I could find shelf space to justify six of those, even if I had bought any of the robot forms yet.

Oh my, that looks great. I love Cupola and have their Hardhead on order, and this looks just as tasty. Haven't they got Dreadwind and Darkwing in the pipeline as well?

Really, they should concentrate on the Head/Target/Powermasters - on this evidence I would buy the entire lot! Besides, I don't think their Grapple or Hound figures look as sharp as others on the market.

The eyes could use a different colour from the rest of the face or at least a different shade of yellow.
Looks like he comes with alternate faces, for all the win.

Haven't really paid attention to Grapple but as Inferno it really works... holding back from this scale, but might be tempted in person.

And Planet Steel Express (new one on me) have got Ocular Max Ravage "Premium Edition" (don't know) listed for release on the 31st Jan. Which seems a bit sudden.

Whoa, is that Copyvio Flamesavecar on the left? He's looking so ****ing awesome! Can't wait to put down £80 on him and get another Lost Lighter on the shelf. At least I think he's still on the Lost Light. If he's not he can **** off.

Some tacky HasTak product? Not bloody likely! He looks to be a slightly different shade of red, which means I have to buy him now to fill the slightly different shade of red Red Alert hole on my shelf. Or do I wait for the Fanprofit Emergorghini? Or Makedont****ingtouchititsnota****ingtoy's Flashchief?

What I need is an impartial review from someone in no way affiliated with an online store which drums up the majority of its' business by selling 3rd party toys.

There's a small chance it might be somebody's version of Minerva, and that's Hosehead on the right.
