Insecticons (WIP)

Post by frenzy_rumble »

Thought I'd share these with you guys. Something I've wanted to do for a while, touching into them in between commissions last few days. (I find if I stick to the same project(s) for countless hours in a row, I burn out quick those days)

I wanted to go a new route with these than the versions we've seen before. I'm trying to retain as original to G1 alt modes as I can.

Are you keeping a list of the figures that you're culling parts from? I recognize bits and pieces, but can't recall what they're from.

not too familiar with some of the figures I used, but offhand...

bombshell
arms : no idea
hands : ptitvite's cast hands
upper legs : yellow jeep type scout figure

shrapnel
shoulders : ball joints to fit (from some sort of t-rex scout)
elbows : tan hawk minicon from the armada 10 pack
legs : ramjet (any seeker will work)
hands : gundam 1/100 scale

kickback:
pegs coming out to shoulder cut into ball joint shape (hollow, so strengthened with a pin)
arms : bruticus helicopter(s)
upper legs : megatron (small green tank one)
hands : gundam 1/100 scale

Wow! Shrapnel has Seeker legs, cut at the shins! Never would have figured that to work for a small-scale. All are quite nice, and you're right; very refreshing with the parts you've chosen to use.

Awesome work. Never thought those parts listed could be combined as one into the Insecticons.
