Hn. Could be interesting, though Alternity's a bit too pricey for me to import regularly. Megatron and Prime will do it for me unless Takara releases a favorite it the future. I do wonder who the Decepticon counterpart to 'Bee will be.

the swift is one of my fave small cars, so glad to be getting a red bee (ie cliffjumper), as i see red ones of these all the time locally (the dealership got a supply of red ones with white sports stripes). i'm not overly keen on the transformation, the huge belly never made much sense without the g1 mass-shifting to shrink it a bit. even the classics suffered for it, imho.
but yeah, good to see more from alternity

Freakin'awesome. I love the Swift(Sport...), despite the fact I don't really dig the Alternity fiction... But how is this guy supposed to keep up with his chief, a Nissan GT-R???

also, assuming that they're keeping these things to the same scale, why is he $49.99 for what would have to be a smaller figure? I know bbts never exactly undercharge, but $10 up from alternity prime (when we know from megatron that they're apparently using less die cast on these things now) is a bit bonkers.

My Christ, that's shockingly awful. The chest looks like it's been stapled on from another figure that's twice the size of Bumblebee.

Aye, `tis dreck. It's as if they're hoping people have forgotten Classics Bumblebee and buy this instead.

Mmm, surely it'd make more sense to scale up the Classics layout and up the detail, articulation etc? I'm pretty sure people wouldn't have a big problem with that, as at least it'd be good...

But then the transformation wouldn't be [probably] insanely complicated with the chance of things breaking whilst you try and work out how they fit back together, as all realistic vehicle alt modes designed by Takara have to be. It's the law.

Seriously, I'm sure that "how many swear words can we get people to utter whilst turning it back" is an actual criteria used in the design process.

Well then... it appears my fascination/fetish for Yellow Robotic Characters DOES have it's limits... I like the head sculpt though.

Yes!

Nice to see that he has hand guns, instead of Prime's arm guns, though. The head sculpt is really nice, but the rest of the figure looks like he fell face-first onto the inside of a car roof and then stood up.

Yeah, the head is indeed nicely done. It's everything from the waist down that's the problem. :(

That's possibly the best Bumblebee/Cliffjumper head I have ever seen.
Other than that, I don't care.

The car mode is a good match for Bumblebee. Still, it appears a bit of a fail. Perhaps it will not look so obvious when painted but the seams in car mode just scream for attention more than I like in my Transformers. The Robot mode looks like an egg on stubby legs. Bumblebee as a jolly rolly polly bot is acceptable, this is too much.

All my opinions.

Considering the fact that this is the prototype, it's predictable to see how terrible the final version will look like. With all that yellow on the chest, it'll spring even more out, making it even for people 5 miles away obvious that this chest is huge...
