ROTF : Leader Class Jetfire (Power-Up Prime part 1)

Post by frenzy_rumble »

it's now 12:20 and about to finish a 17 hour day of customs. exhausted, but happy to finally have the first part of Power-Up Prime ready for the forums.

Some minor mods to Jetfire which I think improve the figure:

- Added very bright LEDs to his turbines
- Made the arm kibble on his forearms removable (because it's not there in the movie)
- painted his alt mode flat black, masked off the decals/graphics, then dusted it with a charcoal grey
- modded his hands so the fingers all articulate and move independently

He'll be combining with Prime hopefully tomorrow. LOTS of extras gonna be on the Power-Up Prime when complete.

You are just a big problem, you know that? Because I see work like this, and I go "I can't buy Jetfire now, he'll look like crap compared to this. It'll be pure disappointment."

Joking aside, excellent work as always. I remember the finger articulation trick you posted, and I'll be doing that for sure. On top of all the paint details, the light-up engines came out great!

I am truly the biggest Nitchpicker on the planet now,)All Dutch people are like that... But uhhm why haven't you added some rust-detailing? He's old, crappy, honours wheels, and he's low on Energon...

Yes sure, this is another masterpiece you made, It's not that I dislike it...

It looks better without the rust. Understanding the character, I don't think it's "required" to make him work.

I don't see rust working on a black robot, if anything it would look messy in my opinion. plus, I want him to mesh and blend well with Prime when combined.

Awesome figure, man. I bet the X-Men try to ride in him all the time.
