New Animated Deluxes and Voyagers confirmed by the Collectors' Club magazine

Post by Nevermore »

Deluxes: Arcee, Electrostatic Soundwave (probably a redeco, previously listed as "Electrostatic S" in Wal*Mart's computers)
Voyagers: Hydrodrive Bumblebee (new mold), Golfire Grimlock

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transform ... isted.html

No pics, apparently not even shown in the magazine.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

If Arcee looks like she did in the show AND has a good gun, I'll buy here as a girlfriend for Samurai Prowl. By the way: If they gonna do a new Bumblebee then their won't be a new head according to me because the one on the deluxe version is already huge. It's looking bigger than Primus's head and that's not a real small one so I hope HASTAK won't waste the nrw mold with a new freakin big head and stupid gimmicks.

Wait, they're making a new mold for Bumblebee as a Voyager? That's... interesting... Arcee, I'll wait and see, but sounds promising.
Got a complaint?

This is probably the smaller mold with the big accessory that was rumored.

Voyager Animated Bumblebee? Score! This may be one Animated Voyager that I buy. I passed on Starscream and Optimus Prime numerous times for some reason.

Hope he gets a frikkin big gun...

I really have my doubts about Animated and weapons due to the fact that I only can remind two guys having a nice gun( Megs n'Swindle) None of the Autobots except from Prime and Bee have non-melee weapons, and Waspinator doesn't even have some kind of a weapon. So I would be pretty flabbergasted if they gave Bee a Big Freakin' Gun (BFG)...:nonono:

referring to him as 'hydrodrive' makes me wonder if he has some kind of underwater 'suit', much in the veign of prowls armor, but perhaps bigger. or some kind of mini-submarine type thing.

or its some kind of water cannon.

or i'm wrong.

I'm guessing it's just normal DX Bumblebee, but with some accessories. If anyone's seen the lego Jedi Starfighter & Hyperdrive ring, they'll know what i mean.

Just a Bumblebee version of Samurai prowl, but with a bigger accessory.

Yes, that'd be an awful big Bumblebee. But it makes perfect sense marketing-wise. Popular character + pricier size class / has scale ever really meant anything? = win for Hasbro!

(And just to point out, this is not a "Hasbro suxx" post, just that I can see the sense behind this one...)

That formula hasn't always worked, mind you. (Ultimate 'Bee, SROC Prime) I don't have any intentions on getting him, since I'm fine with the Deluxe version. Arcee,on the other hand, I do plan on getting if the toy is any good.

Animated Arcee? SLAG YEAH! Guess this means we'll finally get to see what her alt mode is in this 'verse.

The thought of a Voyager Class Bumblebee amuses me. Sure, it'll probably be Deluxe Bumble + a submarine accessory, but for some reason I can't help but picture Lugnut repainted in Bumblebee's colors.

Optimus: Who are you supposed to be, and you'd you get in here?
Lugnut: I am your teammate Bumblebee, reporting for infiltration -- er, duty!
Ratchet: Bumblebee? Gimme a break...
Bulkhead: Yeah, you're bigger than I am! *scratches head* Uh ... new upgrades?
Prowl: Clearly, you're a Decepticon wearing a cheap coat of yellow paint.
Lugnut: I SWEAR IN THE GLORIOUS NAME OF ALMIGHTY MEGATRON I AM BUMBLEBEE! Uh, wait ... I mean...
Ratchet: Yeah, just keep helping your case, there.

Great, now any Voyager-class Bumblebee that's not a Lugnut repaint is just gonna be a disappointment. :)

I love how everyone forgets about the Smaller BB mold with the large accessory that's been announced...

Good examples, yeah. But I'm still thinking it'll sell better than some of the other ideas they've used though. (I'd totally get the Ultimate BB if I ever have the cash on hand when I see it, btw.)

Animated:
A new, smaller Animated Bumblebee mold is in the works. It is intended to be more in scale to other figures, and will come with a larger accessory.

New pics!
Golfire Grimlock: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail
Hydrodive Bumblebee: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail

Bumblebee looks great, and Grimlock looks like a failed Lucky Draw...

Submarine mode looks like a Pre-Earth G1 Bumblebee kinda. Just added blue.. and guns..
The new version of the robot looks way nicer then the original.
The improved smirk displays a hint of attitude.
I thought the first version looked like an emaciated child, like Starvin' Marvin' with jaundice.
