To be honest, I'm not sure which is which, they were barely out of the box when I started fiddling. As you may tell, I'm not too much of a fan of the movie figures.

Anyhoo:

The last lot that I've done. The first is the first kitbash I ever did, based kinda on the IDW BW Ravage that turned up. I don't think of him as Ravage though, so he does need a name.

Second: Minicon BB based on BB from Beast Wars II. He's really just a tiny repaint, but it continues my tiny BW cast.

Third: A LOC Starcream repainted into what was gonna be a fleet of Drones for my Gigatron. However, I wasn't able to find either another starscream at a reasonable price, or a PVC Ramjet for the arms and guns. Also: A LOC Red Alert which was going to be a Drone set for Ultra Magnus [Or Infernus Prime as he was going to be].

Fourth: Single pic of the Terminacon Drone

Last: A close up of Bm Jetstorm

AND FINALLY.....

Buster and Hydra. Now, you may look at them and think...

"Now hang on Gruff old son, they be Dreadwing and Darkwind."

They are, kind of....

In reality, they are my two proudest bits of work. I picked them up at my local Poundland when they were just a pair of...horrible...pink...PINK..and green KO's.

PINK!!!

It took about two weeks to remove the colours and have them coloured correctly, then about another week to find the missiles and guns for them.

....and yes, they came with powermaster buddies. they were burnt quite happily. Don't ask. *shudders at the memory.

So I named them from their Masterforce name, Just because I want to get the Robotmasters/Gen 2 versions for Dreadwing and Darkwind.

And thats them all! Well, so far at least. Thanks for the replies, it's good to know people are reading this, and not being totally turned off by my crappy pics.

On a different note, I got a second Octane/Tankorr for my birthday. Any ideas? the only one I've come up with so far is to remove the truck section and turn him into Windsweeper. Also: I need suggestions for both what Minicon/Micromaster to use to make a Primal [Got the titanium mini-dinky figure, so it has to happen...] and which BW/BM/BWII/BWN Character should I go for as a build next?

DE-BLANDED CLASSICS PROWL

Post by Grufflock »

Prowl's classic form was easily the blandest of the line, and possibly one of the blandest in any line. So, with some silver and black paint, I followed the original toy's look, and re-stickered him.

He even has a mouth now!

HE'S WHITE! ALL WHITE! AND SO BLAND!

Post by Grufflock »

The next problem I need to solve with him is the neck/shoulders problem. His head is just far too high.

Really starting to hate him. Has anyone seen the advertisment figure? possibly the Henkei one? I'm not sure which it is...

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/wizardun ... tftf13.jpg

So not happy with what we got.

"excuse me waiter, could I have a little more bland with my bland please?"

And he was kinda sticky when I took him from his packaging.

I kinda found that on the painted semi clear parts.

Someone should repaint this into the Uk blue and yellow checks, this or alt Smokescreen cos of those new Subaru cop cars. ( tried making one from lego but it was to unstable)

I'm currently working on turning Animated Grimlock into a Cindertzar figure (Just something I came up with whilst writing a Mosiac) and I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to create new light piping so he has green instead of blue eye?

I've decided to use a different head to make him look a bit more like the orginal Firecons. Cos I love 'em so!

For future refrence though, what type of dye would you recommend?

And, as a side note, has any fiction ever named a truly ancient decepticon?

Animated Grimlock as Cindersaur? Cool. I was thinking of doing a digibash of that. Can't wait to see your interpretation of the idea.

Got the basic paint done to CinderTzar, have also replaced head and have done some designs to make him fit it with the Universe line. not as much in proportions, just so there is less big flat areas.

EDIT: Stole the Girlfriends camera for a few mins: so a new pic of Cinder's robot head, still some work to do, but at least he looks like a Firecon head/face.

Full body shot of robot mode, once again, still got work to do. Want to add some tech and various details to make him kinda "Fit" into the rest of my collection.

New pics!

Full body of the Dinodragon mode

Head

Venting on leg

Venting on body

Firey mouth!

Still lots to do, waiting for the main body to dry on the robot mode, then start adding some tech and effects to the beast mode. Then possibly work on the eyes to make the green more apparent.

For some reason, the robot head looks a lot smaller in the pics than it actually is. It's a lot smaller than the Grimmers head, in order to get across the idea that the main bulk of the body is armour, or like a pretender suit. I may build a head overlay, much like Magnus's G1 head to attach to make it look bigger. I'll prob use my sig as a reference.
The question is though, do I make all three this way, or do I use the activators grimmers for the other two. Those Firecons needs a leader dammit!

New pics!

Robot mode this time, head is now on a gimbal, so it's got lots of movement. Still am yet to start on the overlay for it. Robot body is still need of a touch up, but now has the correct symbol. I'm thinking of putting some of the symbols and glyphs from the donfig Grimlock Prime pic thing on him as well. Suggestions?

Really need spare time to work on finishing him. Grrr. Stupid job!!!!

Also thinking about removing the spindly arms that connect the shoulder to the forearm. Any thoughts?

Is that Citadel Miniatures paint I see? And awesome job on Dinodragon, loving how smooth everything turned out and the head swap. Kinda reminds me of the old SEGA game: Altered Beast :P

It is indeed Citadel. I used Humbro for a while, but I always go back to GW.

Heres what I mean by the glyphs I'm thinking of using..
