It's the end of the Wreckers story, but how many times can Nick Roche punch us in the feels?

Good episode. As usual I find myself having to go back over the issues as stuff I didn't notice gets pointed out.

Episode 36: Jesus is a Friend of Mine.

We look at Lost Light issues 19-22, the start of the final storyline. We ask if Getaway got off lightly, whether Rodiimus has someone watching over him and meet some old and unexpected friends in an episode bigger than the average Cybertron.

(Contains spoilers for Optimus Prime and Unicron as well)

Minor thing: I've rewritten and put back in the custom code that we added to podcastgen for getting an idea of plays/downloads, and which hasn't been in place since it was upgraded.

Episode 42!

We're back! To celebrate the end of the original IDW continuity, with thoughts on Unicron and the 13 years as a whole.

And we're not alone, with contributions from fans and creators alike.

(Note this was recorded quite a while ago, with real life delaying the editing. Which basically means I dont remember anything I said)

Episode 44:

"TWO DISTINCT FLAVOURS OF ENERGON POOP - Living in a resource-depleted police state on the brink of political collapse, Marian, Stuart and Tom catch up with IDW's Transformers Galaxies comic which they can only understand through the lens of the Spice Girls, metaphors for collective action and the correct definition of 'anthology comic.'

Keep safe, stay indoors and Take That, Shane McCarthy!"

Had a listen to the latest episode, and fun and insightful as usual. Interesting to hear that digital comics prices have gone up. I'd always thought the increase in prices over the last 15 years or so for the physical format were to keep the medium viable for those writing, drawing, editing, publishing, printing and distributing, in the face of online piracy and general sales decline since the abolition of the newsstand market. Are online sales down across the board, or is the increase just to pay people a living wage - something musicians also struggle with (you can't tell me paying £10 a month to Spotify or Amazon or whoever is giving artists much return....) ?

Digitally, it's apparently because Comixology decided to make the pound/dollar conversation rate 1:1.
