Reassessing plot aspects of TF:TM in light of Revenge of the Fallen [SPOILERS for the latter, natch]

It's certainly Star Warsey, though it's hard to call it out of character when we'd had so little screen time for Megs in the first one.

And most of that contradicted most previous incarnations of Megatron by being powerful, decisive and having a fair old stab at getting things done. Which is probably out of character compared to a lot of people who think Megatron should be a wibbling surrender-monkey with Gallagher-esque eyebrows and tactical acumen borrowed from a general in a sixties anti-war satire.
