Since the Wiki thing became popular, it's become less and less necessary. We've got a great big collaborative effort that belongs to everybody - the need for us all to go around making cheap html pages duplicating what's already around has pretty much died down.
Re: Gobots Wiki... I kinda considered looking into one, but it'd be a lightning-rod for trolling retards. There also simply wouldn't be enough content, and it could end up propogating the prominent position of the cartoon, which was awful (hence why it's largely a footnote at my place, and Alex Bickford's).
Yeah, but it's been there for a few days -- I have things to check on the forum/server before getting back to B, and have spent the evenings in between writing a course proposal...

Interesting...I came to the same conclusion but for different reasons.
I love Challenge of the GoBots and everything I've done from fan art to my site(s) to the book project reflects that. What's always offended me is that it's never gotten a fair deal. This fandom put G1 on a pedastal in the 1990s, though it's fallen out of favor due to largely identical reasons (how anyone can praise the BURNING JUSTICE trilogy and sneer at either is beyond me). I also see an awful lot of CotG in Animated, thus enjoying it immensely.
There's just no compelling argument for a Wiki in my opinion because most of the people qualified to contribute already run sites and to tell the truth I don't even look at the TF wiki either. I do think it would be nice if we could get together and set up one of those old-fashioned webrings though.
