We saw him in packaging before, but here's a full gallery of the toy in and out of packaging.

Hasbro also has instructions on their website.

Awesome. Just got Sunstreaker, Prowl, and Tankor. Might have to find $20 to buy Galvatron and Acid Storm.

Hopefully, they've fixed the problems that the pre-released ones had on him (i.e. pop-off arm). He's got a nice alt. mode, but the robot mode looks like it's extremely top heavy. IMO he's not very impressive looking...:( But, I'll hold my final verdict on Galvatron until I see the figure in person.:p

I like the looks of this one. Isn't he the first Galvatron not being a reprint of a Megatron in years? Also the alt. mold is better than the first one in my opinion. Looks to be a better unite leader than classic Megatron.

I like it, but did he have to put his watermark right over the bio? :eyebrow:

If you want the bio, Hasbro has it too... just not today, they're down for maintenance. You could find it here tomorrow.

Oooor I could just work my Google cache magic, and presto:
Arrogant, powerful and ruthless, GALVATRON has emerged to seize control of the scattered DECEPTICON forces. He has formed what was once a loose confederation of assassins and warlords into an army capable of threatening the entire universe. Rumors abound, but no one knows where he came from; they know only that he arrived, and swiftly crushed all opposition to his rule. Some DECEPTICONS hope another leader powerful enough to challenge him will emerge, but most are too afraid of him to even hope for someone better.

Well, that bio just reduced the chances of my getting this figure greatly...

(Though, I suppose it could have been worse, if they'd explicitly gone the "G is M" route. Bless IDW for getting rid of that crap.)

pay no attention to the box as it dose not effect the figure in its greatness

I like that they're telling a story of sorts through the bios. The profiles from the first wave talk about leaderless bands of 'Cons marauding around aimlessly and Prowl trying to whip the Autobots into shape just in case the 'Cons ever pull together, and Galvy's profile plays off of that to set him up as the new 'Con leader. It's a nice change of pace in my books, and gives a little more depth than the usual "Character X has Y badass weapons and Z oddball personality quirk. Buy him!" that the bios usually provide.

It's a pity, then, Galvy's toy looks like such a piece of shit.

I'm glad they added some more purple to his robot mode than the prototype had, but he's still about a dozen notches below the deluxe tank Megatron we got in the first set of Classics. :\

What I think of the new Galvatron action figure.

Whoaaa Galvatron's more awesome than his old 1980's version he looks just like his 1986 Transformers Movie version just like the same Decepticon Leader in the third season on The Transformers Generation 1 in T.V. He looks just like his animated version during the 1980's this toy is tremendiously cool.

I'm surprised there's not enough love for this guy. My standards are higher than most when it comes to Transformers, but I like this one.

My only gripe (and it's a big one) is the face-mould. He just looks sime old guy. Not cool.

I wish the face sculpt was better, and I wish he was a bigger size.

That sums it up for me. I'm still getting it regardless, but knowing he's the same size as Animated Bumblebee is kinda unnerving.

I agree, he should have been a voyager.
