New Universe Legends Jazz, Hound, and G2 Megatron

Post by Gareth Infinity »

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to put this, but I didn't see it anywhere else and it's quite interesting. Also, sorry if I'm not allowed to link to this; please punish me however you see fit.

BBTS has Universe Legends Jazz, Hound, and G2 Megatron (all new molds!) up for pre-order, and they all look AWESOME.

Yes I WILL be getting those.
I like the way the bot modes are fairly similar to the originals.

Verrrry nice! Hopefully the pictures are a little too bright and the finished things will be a lot darker, but they look superb.

They look pretty awesome.
No longer looking for RID Dreadwind, but I still need Smokejumper. I'm also in need of Mammoth Nemesis Prime's tail piece, as my figure lacks it. Send me a PM.

Yeah, Cliffjumper, they do certainly have that extra shininess and brightness that a lot of stock photos happen to get. A little bit darker, they'll look just great, even better than they already do.

I just can't wait for these guys! I admit I'm a little ignorant; what's the current estimate of when the new Universe figures are hitting stores?

Hmmm . . . we'll see. They look better than the movie legends, but I'm not sure how they stack up compared to the Cybertron legends.

G2 Megatron is on my WANTED list. It's sad, but I'm looking forward to having more articulation (at least in the legs).

Hasbro put them out in the display cases on the last day of Botcon, but I think that's the only showing they've had.

They are indeed splendid. Hopefully if they do well, additional figures will be produced.

Mmmm... dare we dream of the core G1 cast, all in a size that can actually interact?

Yep. Which is a real shame.

That said, this is the first time I've actually felt like I need to get me some Legends.

Um.... I mean.... they do look nice. When will they be available?

Heinrad: It says, "Arrives July 2008". BBTS started getting in the Animated Voygers at about the same time that everyone started reporting sightings of them at retail, so, I guess "next month" is a good estimate of when we'll be seeing them in stores. Or, at least I really hope so. That is of course assuming I can cast some magic spell to generate a pile of money at my feet before then.

I just had a better look at BBTS.

It seems odd that Wave 01 is slated for August '08, while Wave 02 is due July '08... Am I being thick somehow?

BBTS have slight form for cocking this sort of thing up would be the most likely answer :)
