Possibly, could also just be hauling the 'old' movies' leftovers around too. If they were about to start shooting, I would figure that Bay would be all over announcing it... he's as subtle and modest as I am, after all. :)

I'm sure he will be. Bay did say he removed the death scene because he liked the concept for Barricade afterall.

I thought Barricade's death was removed from the script so there would be some continuity for the villains for part 2?

Anways, Prime has been spotted.

I heard the first one, but that would make sense, too.

I'm glad to see they aren't changing their alt forms. I was worried that they'd do that...you know, for the cha-ching! factor.

Not to mention that Hasbro wants to sell new toys.

I knew this was coming.unless they repeat what they did in the "86" movie where multiple main characters just disappeared, never to seen again.
"Some people are like slinkies, not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs."

Movies I've seen recently:
Red
Johnny Got His Gun
A Clockwork Orange
Fight Club
Toy Story 3
Zombieland
Tenacious D The Pick of destiny
Watchmen

And I want to buy new toys! :) Though toys based off of new characters will be more yay than new alt modes for the original cast.

It's not impossible we will get new toys of the old characters, most likely via them coming up with a new gimmick to design them round instead of Automorph.

That'd be my bet, TBH - it'd be a massive continuity mistake to redesign the whole cast for no real reason. I'm a little bit surprised Premium wasn't held back until TF2, actually.

Yeah - I'd originally thought better paint apps would appear for the sequel.

Oh well.

Maybe a Leader class Screamer?

I do seriously hope that, if anything, only one Autobot changes their alt mode (and only then for a good reason). But, it is bound to happen. (Prove me wrong Bay! Prove me wrong!)

I am far more looking forward to new characters anyway. Although, hopefully not so many as they have zero character, as it were. It would be good if the Decepticons get a bit more development this outing.

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.

Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).

Check out my new sale thread now!

Also items on eBay.

Thing is, if they introduce, say, eight or nine new characters (which seems likely - 2 or 3 reinforcements for the Autobots, with the remainder filling out the Decepticons), that's the bare bones for a new toyline right there. Add in a slightly modified Prime and Bumblebee, maybe a new disguise for Starscream and/or Barricade if the film has them as being at large since the last one, and you've got the potential for around the same number of figures the last line started out with. It wouldn't surprise me if Ironhide and Ratchet keep the same look, and either stay in the background or bite the bullet. I mean, the first Fantastic Four film didn't have a Sue Richards figure, it's not necessarily a given that a character being in the film will have a shiny new toy. I'm pretty sure Ironhide and Ratchet were in roughly the same position, toys-wise, for their movie debut (as was Jazz, so it doesn't necessarily follow they'll die).

They might even just reissue the originals or premiums in a later wave, after all.
