Nice work thats my NEW wallpaper really like the strings being an energy/mental bond as opposed to physical connections.
So did everyone else from on here make it thru?

Out of interest, does anyone recognise the quote without googling it ?

Manhunter. Though I can't recall if it's also in Red Dragon or not.

The world would be a much sadder place without you dalek.

Lifted from red dragon, so it's in there.

Wahey! Well done guys. Gutted there was a cindersaur category, mind. Competition in the next round looks like it'll be tough, but all the better for it, neh?

Thanks to everyone who voted! The next round should be really interesting... I'm going to have to do more than throw in some wild animals. Damn you Attenborough, you can only take me so far!

I thought it would likely be in both, considering it's basically exactly the same film but with different actors (the only real difference being Manhunter doesn't have any references to the Red Dragon painting at all IIRC), but as I've seen the earlier more recently that the latter I couldn't swear to it.

Got the brief yesterday. Are we allowed to talk about it? I shouldn't have to ask, but I'm massively hung over and in the process of piecing together the night before, so I could hardly read the email. Seems a bit troublesome, really.

Not this time I'm afraid. Everything has to be kept secret until they're hosted & posted, including the e-mail.

But for those following at home, there are some public assignments to give you an idea of what to expect : http://idwpublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3303

edit : .. or maybe not what to expect... Ahaa !

A wee sniff of info...

http://idwpublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... 3&start=30

Q. The real contest assignments don't include movie pieces, then?

A. No. They're all update/redesign-for-IDW type assignments.

Man, it's hard keeping the assignment quiet. I almost let it slip a few times just asking questions of the judges. Good luck everyone in the second round! And really cool second chance for you play-at-home guys!

It says a lot about the Humans of Transformers when the guy named O'NION is the only bearable one there.

They're up!

I'm in the Arkeville Group. Man, it's really tough this time around, there's some amazing entries in each category.

Yeah, and just to note: voting's only open for one week for this round, as there are far fewer pieces to look over...

Off to later.

It won't let me vote for Slarti. The option isn't even up there.
Not meaning to be overly stubborn, but I will not be voting in the Faireborne section until his name is put up.
