Nobody knows right now.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's at least six months away since that's about the average length of time between pictures first showing up on the internet and the actual item ending up in a store.

See, I would have thought this self-evident to anybody reading the thread. Given that the vast bulk of the conversation is centered around if it's even going to be commercially available or not... we don't even know if it's getting a full release, let alone when.

Right, but that's usually starting with a prototype. Here we are jumping straight to packaging photos. That's got to cut some time off I'd think.

And I can't really tell from the picture one hundred percent, but that is a different head sculpt from Mirage, isn't it? Not only that, but isn't that even different from the Rodimus KISS Play head sculpt?

Well now I'm glad I skipped the KP version - especially since my single complaint with that one was the lack of flames in the vehicle mode!

Also, this one will most likely be a hell lot cheaper. And doesn't come with a useless plastic figure of scantily clad and barely legal girl. Who eats these things called "dumplings".

It is the KP Rodimus head sculpt.

Yeah, I guess it is. The only pictures I'd seen (recently anyway) of the KP Hot Rodimus was kind of from above. It's the slight eye-brow wings (if that's what you want to call them...horns maybe?) that I hadn't noticed on the KP sculpt before, but you can clear see them on this picture. So I thought maybe they were different. My bad.

Either way...yay for not exactly the same as Mirage!

(could have done with a tone down of the lemon yellow hands though)

but those hands are good for blinding

. reminds me of G-Gundam "This hand of mine is burning red (in this case yellow - in my opinion), it tells me to grasp victory!". i just thought of that by looking at the pictures again.

oh man! why am I always late to get in on these posts?

I like the designs so far and the idea of a Rodimus is looking
better by the second. What I want to know is if he is supposed
to be Hot Rod, Rodimus Prime, Energon Rodimus, or post Rodimus
Prime, Hot Rod( a.k.a. Rodimus Major), or what? I'll be trying to get this one, if they make a cool con for him to fight(thinking of
Runabout).
