Define "we". I could do without reset buttons, cheap animation, the lazy generic cigarette packet characterisation, the lame comedy, the total inability to express "millions of years of civil war", the go-nowhere plots, the clunking moral lessons, the unrealistic handling of human relations, the fluctuating cast, the "new toy" mentality, the bizarre leaps of logic, the dodgy superweapons, the cheap origin, the wildly unthreatening villains, the plot devices...

I can't be the only one who thinks the above are bad things, can I?

Didn't you guys know? Chip died of smallpox.

I just want a show that's 20 minutes of TF coolness. A show with bookends, no more of that tedious 52 episodes of the same story over and over again and universe in peril backdrop.

Possibly.

;)

Naw, only joking - I'm with you on this. G1 provides enough of that in my DVD collection!

Definitely not.

I'd kind of like to see "Heroes" made like the new Fantastic Four cartoon, different, but true to the source. As in, Transforming robots (true to source), with characterization (different).

Sue, Reed, Johnny and Ben come back from space, mysteriously turned into a race of warring (and waring) robots?

I'd buy that for a dollar.

I'd say Hasbro will probably try that when they start producing Marvel toys.

Actually, a Dr. Doom Transformer would be pretty cool.

Definately not. But it seems all the new US cartoons flop...at least the ones I like. Whenever they try to go with an over arcing story instead of an episodic style, they can't capture the audience...and yet that is the kind of story I crave.

For instance, the new Masters of the Universe cartoon was everything I could have hoped for and more...except dying out too soon. That's the kind of show that attracts my attention...yet they don't seem to be very popular...which is disconcerting. Perhaps I'm the oddball.... :)

Now, one thing that gave me hope is that they said at BotCon that if they were to do a new show, they'd like to do something more in the style of Beast Wars, which really pleases me. To me, hands down, that is the best Transformers show created. The G1 story and characters are still my favorite, but Beast Wars as a show has all the rest beat, in my opinion.

It makes sense- Optimus was the role he was sure he'd got when he auditioned for Beast Wars back in the day after all.

"Autobots transform and roll out yes."

David Kaye should provide the voice for Deaths Head.

Why? Because he used to play a character that said the word "yes" a lot? Outstanding casting approach.

David Kaye's an exceptionally talented actor. He didn't flesh out his BSG character by saying "yes" at the end of everything. I doubt he did when voicing Chuck X or Apocalypse in X-Men Evolution, either.

Way to typecast the guy. It's like saying that Frank Welker should voice all his characters like he did the parrot in Deep Blue Sea.

Yep. David Kaye was in three episodes of the new Battlestar Galactica. He played one of "The Colonial Gang" - the radio talkshow political debate presenter people type folks.

I thought that Spike was getting annoying in season 1 to the end of season 2. But when I saw him in Transformers the movie, I thought to myself, Spike's grown up and now he can kick some butt. Let his son be annoying:)

He played the one who looked just like Xena. That's how talented an actor he is.
