Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus, all the work you have to put in to receive the one hit kill sword makes you expert enough that a one hit kill sword is just boring and pointless.

Finally. Finally. Finally I bought Batman Arkham Asylum. My first game purchase in two years since TF WFC. Don't even remember when was the last time I posted here saying I want to buy this game. Didn't play last night. Only took out and charged my PS3 controller (that's a good start). Reall...

Cyberstrike nTo wrote:I downloaded Resident Evil 5 Gold on the PS3 (it was free to PS Plus subscribers), I haven't played it yet. I'm still playing Mass Effect 3 on the Xbox 360. I can't wait for the Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC.
RE5 is a decent game, the extra missions can even be quite challenging.

I played, erm, Samurai Warriors(? I think that's the English title. Only ever played it over here) on PS2 but haven't gotten around to picking up any of the PS3 titles yet. Love those games though. I'll either pick up One Piece Musou or Maybe the latest Samurai one though, I reckon. Probably One Pie...

Well sure fiction can be ridiculous and impossible, but I do like it when the authors at least try to make it seem possible in our life. And do huge gaps in the why and how take away the quality of the story for me. But that's one thing I've liked about the Walking Dead comic up til now. As you are...

The Walking Dead comic intenionally avoided whys and hows because Robert Kirkman wanted to focus on the people surviving. It is what it is and how it is, which works well for me as far as fiction goes as it's a simple "Here is how you are expected to suspend your disbelief."

And then my big worry is Indiana Jones. Does this mean they're going to reboot? Are they going to make any more period? I'm far less worried if the buyout means no more Shia LeBoeuf. I didn't hate Crystal Skull as much as most, but it was a pure nostalgia wank-off between Lucas and Spielberg, for t...

As for the link between the creation of the empire and fall of the Jedi, there's nothing solid that I can recall. Only really that the Empire did away with the Jedi sometime during or after the clone wars. I always imagined the Empire as having been somewhat in power since Obi-Wan was young, and hav...

I always found Carrie Fisher attractive, not just because of the Leia thing, but also because whenever I've seen her interviewed she comes across as a smart, funny and strong woman. Also I've always liked a pretty brunette. The Disney buyout can't be a bad thing, even if it's not a good thing, becau...

Mind if I ask why? I mean, does the experience differ significantly for you depending on platform. I don't have an Xbox, but from what I gather Fallout 3 is a much smoother experience on that platform. If that's the case, I can't imagine being willing to put up with the bugs in the PS3 version. Don'...

Just out of curiosity, why do you need the Xbox and PS3 versions of Arkham City? I've been playing the hell out of it for the last few weeks. Great game. What it loses in pacing and tightness it gains in potential for toying about. Great sequel, tons of stuff tucked in there but the option is there ...

Just finished watching the Tiger and Bunny movie (my friend had a spare ticket) and I'm inclined to track down the series. It's a fun premise. A bunch of super heroes compete in a reality show. Each hero has F1 racing style sponsors painted on their costumes (almost all real companies at that). In t...

It was a nice return to form. Didn't push any boundaries but was a solid half hour of entertainment with the already mentioned by everyone great gag. Danny John-Jules nailed the delivery of it, too.

The expanation's only from a few years back, during world war Hulk. It works within the confines of the rules of the Marvel universe, but I'll grant you it wasn't really addressed in the movie. I could justify it by saying that none of the characters actually fully comprehend what the Hulk is and fe...

I enjoyed Avengers a lot. Haven't seen it on the small screen yet, but as a big screen action flick it delivered well enough for me. Haven't seen DOTM at all yet, since I really didn't enjoy much of ROTF at all (except for the forest battle, that part I loved). I'll get around to it at some point I ...

I just read Year One and Dark Knight Returns this week, first time since I was very young, and I finally see why the big deal. I can see what they did and that they are great super-hero stories. But they are clearly a product of their time, and Miller's preoccupations shine through very clearly. The...

I was never fond of FF8. Only character I didn't want to punch repeatedly was Quistis.

I got my hands on Arkham City GOTY! Been waiting for this for a while, as I wanted it all on one disk (I always hold out for the complete editions when buying all the DLC would otherwise be a foregone conclusion).

Evangelion is well made and written but it's hard work.

I like the remake of Guyver they did about 5 years ago, but annoyingly it's one of those series that didn't get to the end of the story.

Ugh, I hate the Moon Knight table too  Moon Knight has always been one of my favourite characters, and I really like the table too, it makes the most sense to me. I've still never fully gotten the rhythm of the Blade table. I'm on my way to Akihabara now. If the Arkham Asylum GOTY edition is o...

Sadly, though the tables carry across to ZP2, your scores don't, as the physics are tweaked (noticeably on older tables). I'll have to check in on Marvel Pinball now and again though, make sure you aren't getting too far ahead of me. Edit: By the way, you might get Ghost Rider back, but it looks lik...
