You sure? lots of people blame Bush's spendings on the Miliary Industrial Complex for the second great depression. It may not be true, but that's the popular opinion and I'd like more insight. Ironically, the military budget was less under Bush than under Clinton (there was a big push to cut back a...

Common definitions, anyway. "Far left" tending to mean tree-hugging and personal freedom of a different sort, whereas communism and fascism get lumped in together (and generalised as "far right".) It's tricky. Communism is extremely authoritarian and while it promises 'freedom t...

BotCon's Strika - A Few Thoughts

FunPub has released information about one of their coming exclusives, “Strika”. This character is based on the Beast Machines character of the same name. She gets a unique place in the Transformers hierarchy in that it’s a female character that has no blatant physical attributes. Her face was a typi...

That's actually true, more or less. The founding fathers felt it unwise to place too much power over the government in the hands of the common man. We're allowed to directly elect only one branch (out of three) of our government. And even then it was just supposed to be the House. The Senate was gi...

In an nutshell: the far right and far left are virtually indistinguishable. Not entirely true. A real far-right would be nearly anarchist, when you think about it. Oddly enough, there's never been a goverment model for this approach, so it's kinda hard to cite examples. The closest you'll get is 'f...

Not a fan of the mold, but very well done on the recolor and head. I can see that as an early G1 Space Case. :)

Hooligan next, right? :)

In the United States, 'left-wing' tends to mean liberal interpretation of the Constitution and a desire for 'social justice'. 'Right-wing' tends to mean a more conservative intepretation of the Constitution and a desire for 'lawful justice'. (Note these statements are often portrayed in positive or ...

Considering the amount of time and effort put into the whole Aligned thing I'd be amazed if whatever comes next isn't a continuation, even if it's a relatively standalone one. The only people who put all that 'time and effort' into the Aligned thing are Walky and his pals on the tfwiki.net. I never...

I wouldn't mind a new series, but I don't want a reboot again. Makes it hard to care about anything when you know "In less than three years, none of this will matter at all". Give us a sequel series instead, same continuity, with a new mix of characters and just move things forward.

Has anyone got a WiiU yet? If so, are the games registered to your Wii? i.e. does it kill second-hand purchases like they're saying the PS4 and Next-Box might, or is it completely safe to purchase a pre-owned WiiU title? I've got a Wii U for the girls, and most of the games for it the girls have ar...

Man, 10,000 copies... that's all sorts of awful in numbers when you really think about it. It really makes you wonder how these companies can afford to stay in business. :S

FOC Soundwave I was pretty much going to give up on FOC, but since I had the decepticon 'disctrons' already I decided to pick up a version of their daddy. I found him at a slight discount at Target so I didn't feel too bad about getting him. Long and short of him is, he's an FOC figure with the str...

Partsforming is one bad aspect of the Gundam model line, unfortunately. Most 'transformable' Gundams will need some parts-forming due to the nature of the models, and it really shows on the 'hero' machines like the Double Zeta. Personally, though, I always thought the Double Zeta's transformation wa...

The dialog.. it pains! Reminds me of when the 'smart kid 'cause everyone says he's smart' turns in his papers for his Sophomore Literature course. Lots of long words, lots of run-on sentences, utter garbage to read.

About 150-170 miles. It'd be quicker driving down, but I can't really be arsed with the traffic. Spending the extra hour or so dozing on the train is a much better prospect. Either way getting up early to get down there for 9. True, but for me London is one of those places I want to see and gets pu...

Also, is it odd that "Going to London" sounds like a much bigger deal than it probably is for you? :)

Changing User Name

I've been putting off asking this, since it's generally a pain in the ass - but this is the only place I'm still using "TFVanguard" anywhere (largley 'cause I've mostly moved on from Transformers years ago). Would it be possible to change the user name for this account?
