Couldn't agree more with your assessments of the first 3. Active Time Battle sticks around through most of the series from then on. FFVII has a couple of fights which go on for a good half hour, too. I can't see myself ever sitting down on my home console to play through a Final Fantasy again myself...

...try to get the 'Friends in High Places' trophy on Red Dead Redemption. I think I may have given up on that one. Stopped being fun and just got annoying. But then, I'm not much of one for trophy hunting, since I don't play online multi-player platinum is usually out of the question for me. Also, ...

Last I heard he was living in Fukuoka, down on one of the southern islands. That was years back though.

It depends on individual situations, and isn't as simple as people being picky. Easy to talk about your couple of jobs plus uni as a single person who only has responsibility to yourself, but if you have dependants there aren't many jobs which are open in non-specific fields that would support them ...

People have different ways of using it. It can be a wonderful tool at times. When we had the big earthquake/tsunami over here, communication was sketchy, but one message on facebook and family and friends knew I was ok.

Why after 8? 9 was great (of the ones I've played it's my personal favourite). 8 bored me and I didn't even bother finishing it. Some people liked 10 as well. Never heard anything particularly positive about anything that came after.

I'll do the same thing I did with the PS3...wait a few years for them to work out all the kinks, develop a respectable library, and drop the price, and then BAM. Mine. This. Day one next gen purchases always seem more trouble than they're worth. The last 2 generations I went with Playstation, but a...

How is Hotline Miami? I've thought about picking that up myself.

I bought myself one of the shiny new model PS Vitas. Lovely piece of kit.

You're massively overestimating how much most parents/grandparents/the average consumer care/understand about this stuff. They see green, they see Xbox, they buy it. That's why any half decent store clerk will always confirm which system on purchase. Ask anyone who's ever worked retail and they'll t...

Zoo tycoon? Seriously? I loved that game back in the day, but I made a perfectly functioning Zoo that just looked after itself and consistantly made a ton of money. Given that I'm generally terrible at those games I assume it was either too easy, or I seriously lucked out. As for the cases, no way w...

Suppressors are actually to disguise direction, it's not like in the movies.

If only it came with a Texas Book Depository play set. That comment alone made this thread worth reading. Conspiracies do happen. Lone mentalists also happen. Oswald and Oswald alone did the killing. There's even this whole branch of science called physics that explains how it happened. Did other p...

Haven't seen it yet, but silly flying cars was established as a Shield thing a good while ago. Remember that it started out as high camp cold-war era super-spy espionage. Like James Bond but Americaned up and with any grounding in reality removed.

At the end of the day it's not your relationship so it's best to stay as uninvolved as possible. If you're really a Christian then surely your real Christian duty is just to pray that everyone finds their way through the mess with as little harm done as possible. That's what Jesus would advocate sur...
