Re: [The video game thread]

I've now been able to play Fishing Sim World a little bit, and I'm hooked! (har har) Nah, it's a pretty good fishing game, but nothing I would pay full price for. The visuals are pretty decent, even if the character creator leaves a lot to be desired. The fishing mechanics are quite fun though, once...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

Nice! You should post up some pictures at some point, I would be curious to see what it looks like. I haven't done any MOC work with Lego in a long time. I did a small one with the kids a month-ish ago, inspired by theHunter on PS4. We made a little hunting scene with an elevated hunting stand and s...

Re: What TV shows are you watching thread.

I only wish on Lego Masters that they would show more tricks on how to build certain aspects of the creators's builds. There's a whole slew of techniques these people use, and it would be interesting to see how it works. There's always internet research you can do, but a small tidbit of how to do th...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

A couple large Lego Star Wars ships just joined my fleet! 75257 Millennium Falcon : Excellent ship. 1351 pieces and a fun build that the kids helped me with. The whole thing is really sturdy, as the base is made mainly of interconnected Technic pieces. The typical gaps on the top are minimized with ...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

Two big Lego Star Wars ships: 75257 Millennium Falcon : Excellent ship. Lots of pieces and a fun build. Incredibly sturdy too. The typical gaps on the top are minimized and you can fit a ton of minifigs in the inside. The cockpit is a little cramped though. Came with Lando, Chewie, Finn, C-3PO, R2-D...

Re: What TV shows are you watching thread.

Watched The Mandalorian some time ago. It was enjoyable, but I don't know if it's something you need to see. For a live action show, it's pretty good. It's Star Wars, but not earth shattering. The Child is cute as hell though. Also continuing The Clone Wars , simply because we watched the other 6 se...

I can't remember what or when I did a review last, so I'll give a shot at Earthrise Starscream.

Another sale, another dip into the wallet! Fishing Sim World Pro Tour (PS4) + Lake Dylan DLC : Haven't played it just yet, but the price was right and it has decent reviews. I haven't been too excited about Fishing Planet since it requires a constant internet connection and it's basically shore fish...

Proofed and ready. I added a bullet list format to your color listing in the beginning. If you don't like the look, it can be removed.

Proofed and ready for upload. Nice review! I really like this mold, though I possibly like Hot Shot better due to the color palette. Either way, great fun!

Lego 75153 AT-ST: Bought used from a local store. Great AT-ST with a rotating hull and 3 good minifigs including Baze Malbus, all from Rogue One. Came pre-assembled, since that's how they display them in store for purchase. Lego 75152 Imperial Assault Hover Tank: Same as above, but disassembled in ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Earthrise Starscream . A very fine figure for sure, but I'm also a bit disappointed. The great parts are the general aesthetic and detailing, the articulation, a true cockpit in the chest, smooth(ish) transformation, and finally having a proper Voyager-class F-15 Starscream. The downsides being tha...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

The G1 toy's rifle is rendered really well and the wrist missile is a nice addition, but by far the most fun thing about this toy is the giant claw game thing that you can replace one of his hands with. Hasbro seem incapable of creativity or fun for it's own sake these days, so I'm assuming it's so...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

All right, after 'eyeing' the Lego Star Wars 75155 U-Wing Fighter for about 2 minutes, I had the cash to grab it. Luckily the local shop still had it on the shelf. I'm never in that store long enough to know how fast the used sets stick around. Got it at a great price (compared to what I could find ...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

Lego Star Wars 75155 U-Wing Fighter from a local shop. Got it used at a great price, with all the minifigs. Near as I can tell, it's only missing the two stud shooters from the inside troop compartment, which should be easy to replace. Great quality too. The ship itself is pretty fun, and bigger th...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

I'm not dead yet! My fandom has waned though. I really enjoyed some of the recent toy lines (mostly Generations), and last year I was able to catch up on a bunch of the comics. After a while though, I found my shelves to be too cluttered, so I've had to 'trim back'. Additionally, I wish I could be m...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

A bit of a Lego Star Wars haul lately for me: 75172 Y-Wing : From the Rogue One line. I like the design of this one much more than the newer Resistance model from Rise of Skywalker, even though the cost was identical. To me, this is a Y-Wing. The build was fun and decently complex. It's got some nic...

Do it, you won't regret it! Yeah, Spidey is easily worth dropping $20 on! It's kept me busy for a month and I'm pretty sure the content will run out before my interest does. I think it might be the best game I've played in a decade or more. Yep, bought Spidey on PS4. Haven't played it yet because o...
