Finally saw Insurrection. It's astonishingly shit - does someone want to tell Michael Dorn and Brent Spiner they're not ****ing movie stars and they don't get to just turn up and do schtick as if they're Morgan Freeman and Jim Carrey? Hey, do you know what this film needs - a romantic subplot that's...

Love Autoamerican, it's the sort of album only a bored band at the peak of their success could really make. Reggae, rap, torch songs, all just thrown in. Personally find Blondie's other albums tend to fall into the trap of killer singles and unmemorable filler. Blinding cover too.

Certainly an interesting battle between old and new media with the former not being as dead as thought; the Sun is still ridiculously powerful and no amount of sneering retweets about accuracy have helped. There's been far too much of a willingness to tar all leave voters as frothing xenophobic rath...

Yep, and I think it'll probably teach him to buck his ideas up, becasue he can#'t keep trolling around saying sh*t like that. Overall, I'm quite impressed with May's cabinet and who she's moved where. I do like that she's put the Brexiters in charge of sorting out, well, Brexit. I've started to fee...

Seriously, I know I've discussed this with CJ in the Tf Movie threads but is there an actual reason why Hollywood blockbusters are all super long? Its a complaint I've heard about a lot from pretty much everyone, even when the overall film is very good. Is there some extra money they can charge for...

While we have a handful of meat heads that's mainly the Russians. Their football fans are ours thirty years ago, right down to systematic racism in domestic games.

Two Megatrons is idiotic. Not just the "why build it as Megatron?" (which you could maaaaybe reach for "so he could rule as Megatron if Straxus had been assassinated) but why have his ****ing brain in there? How did it end up with identical scars to those give to the real thing by the...

She doesn't actually really do anything, though. She's basically a cross between a tourist attraction and a celebrity ambassador, which is fine because the Royal family bring in more money than they spend. But she's basically apolitical and only nominally the head of the country despite the huge amo...

We bought Deadpool. I've not seen it, but it's just a comic book movie so I'm sure it's fine for the three year old. You'd think so but Aria's first words were "Daddy, how come there's a massive alien invasion and Avengers everywhere and yet there are absolutely zero bystander casualties?"

Yes, Spider-Man supporting character Madam Web did indeed voice Stan Lee's wife for a short period in the nineties before handing the role over to Daphne from Scooby Doo.

(speaking of which, Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus is now 29.99 in Smyth's stores if you're in the UK). That's a reduced price? ****. Ing. Hell. And it looks like a piece of shit with his nineteen elbows and crap face. Hasbro should at least take UK retail buyers out to dinner a few times before going ...

At the risk of going Lego Nazi I make it four hairpieces with some conceivable other use and that's it. Most of it is sloppy paint apps -Ariel's brassiere is cute but her mermaid tail carries on and so on. Only Mr Incredible has much potential and I'm guessing the rest of them will be along in an en...

So was everyone else watching the thing, Marvel movies are utter shit. Do like the crazy analysing of the title, though, because the last one was set in an age of extinction and the one before was all about the last three days of the lunar cycle. Cue many days of people who won't like this film no m...

I'm having a hard time thinking of anything worse than the seekers. Even Ratchet and Ironhide at least had a solid alt-mode, and lazy outings like Flamefeather or Crankcase had gimmicks to distract you from how poor the toys were. Yup, been genuinely thinking about this since I got 'em and for G1 I...

Yeah; I wasn't expecting much (I've owned all three at one point or another) but they really are poor even compared to most of the other stuff. Unlike most Diaclone they don't even get the vehicle mode right while at least Megatron's got a transformation. You've got to consider that the Big Leader O...

Disney Lego figures

What's the point in these? The Wife picked up the first half dozen and neither of us can really see what they're for. They're just Disney characters in slightly blocky fashion (cheat parts are cheaty) and there's basically no other use for any of the parts other than to make up that precise Disney c...
