ROTF Long Haul

I knew that I was going to paint this guy up some when I got him. I had no idea I would be doing as much as I did. And while he could probably use a touch more here and there, I'm very happy with how he's turned out. Only thing that really bugs me is the dirt look has that spot-spray effect to it. B...

Where's Mixmaster's Deceptidog hood ornament? :D

I kid. That's some above-and-beyond detail! Love the scar marks as much as the paintschemes. REALLY makes you wish these guys transformed.

Ah well, that's what the individual toys are for. Except no Scrapper yet... :(

Totally a one-shot comic. Nothing to do with the main one. But I had fun doing it. :)

Leader Prime kicks ass. :D

You can see in the boat shot there's only one Rampage, plus while Rampage is in that last shot, you see Megs with his treadlegs already installed. Not sure to the confusion.

Good points, all.

Of course, now I want to see the combined form. :D

It looks better without the rust. Understanding the character, I don't think it's "required" to make him work.

You are just a big problem, you know that? Because I see work like this, and I go "I can't buy Jetfire now, he'll look like crap compared to this. It'll be pure disappointment." Joking aside, excellent work as always. I remember the finger articulation trick you posted, and I'll be doing t...

I liked it--mostly because a LOT got told on just a single page. And it didn't feel crammed or rushed. Oh, and the artwork is first-class stuff.

One of the best mosaics I've seen so far. :)

Joe absconded with a package of squirming beetles worth crazy amounts of cheese-puffs. However, the Brujo shamelessly grabbed George by his massive incisors. Next they polymorphed into the platypus from Jaws 6. They devoured the beetles extremely slow, masticating them alive while humming Mussorgsky...

Waist articulation would require major reconstruction of this particular mold. And while it'd be "nice," it's not needed. The tracks from a Scorponok toy are brilliant and fit right in. Personally, I was not a big fan of the 'dark' purples. Cyclonus, Galvatron and Shockwave are examples of...

That's all kinda vague. Some of them come with those pre-equipped--like Maxivalidus (RiD Magnus). Others--and likely, most--have basic built-ins and get upgrades later. Quite a few tend to come with basic ready-to-go weaponry at least, but that's not always the case. Each character has his or her ow...

Thanks for reading. I've really let this thread get forgotten. The plot is going to be broken up into 'stories,' this being the first. I have bigger plans for later, but this one in particular is coming up on a wrap-up point, as soon as I get a decent website building program and a place to host a f...

Shackwave to Shockwave, three years later...

So, I'm pretty sure on this board is probably a thread regarding this custom. Being it was about three years ago, I figured it's probably best to restart. So, going back that three years, I had set out and pretty much finished the repainting of a gray Shackwave into a more cartoon-colored Shockwave....

So, between Botcon and coming home, I got Sideswipe, Rampage, Knockout, and Rollbar. Sideswipe is as cool as I thought he'd be. Still got problems with the design of his feet, but the neat little rubber 'pipe/hydraulic' parts and sliding panels when you pose him just makes the robot mode really cool...

Loved seeing the progress over on '2005. You've really pulled of something terrific with this scratchbuild. The question of whether or not Hasbro planned to make OS was asked at Botcon this year, and it was sad to know they really had no plans for him. Still, it's cool to see him in some form...even...

Looking forward to Bludgeon myself. That was a great panel to watch. Of course, the guy kept messing up with the remote and flipping through two sets. I still laugh at the way we all got to see Bludgeon--they were trying to flip to the "Jungle-whatever Ironhide" and clicked right past it t...
