That's exactly where mine broke as well. Not only were the pins super tight, but someone had actually glued the seats across the seam. It's some mighty good glue, I must say!

Returning is nice. This way I got to see what he's like, decide I really like him, and get even more of the thrill of the hunt. I was excited when I found him the first time, and I'll be excited again when I get a non-broken one for free (in my mind). As long as they don't disappear all of a sudden.

Problems with Alternators Mirage

I found a Mirage (in Watertown, South Dakota of all places), but it was misassembled and broke. The seats were fused across a joint, and the joint snapped before the glue did. Has anyone else run across this, or did I just get a fluke?

Because people are laughing now that Jetfire's doing it as Sky Shadow. Megatron knew better.

Why not just a slight packaging variance so the exclusivists can be proud of what they have, the rest of us can be glad of what we can get, and the scalpers can be stuck sitting on a pile of shelf warmers.

Not that anyone should really care, but they're all back home and together as one big happy family again! I'm working on displaying them, and had forgotten about the terrifying snap that Armada joints tend to make. Scared the snot out of me!

But the question remains... will Casey Kasem be voicing all the remaining Autobots? Now THAT would be G1tastic.

Are those the regular sized OP and Wing Saber? They look smaller to me. Hard to tell though with nothing near it for scale.

I tried using a vice and mousepads to hold him in place, but never got the pins to budge at all. I probably pansied out a little bit early, but using a sharp object and a hammer on a transformer... I just had to quit.

How are Gobots and Transformers related?

I was searching the site, and didn't find anything obvious which answered this question yet. I know they began as two separate things completely, but has TF bought out Gobots? Megatron's mini-con in Armada was Leader-1, and the Playskool Transformers clearly say Gobots while bearing Autobot symbols....

By some bizarre twist of fate, I NEVER broke a single transformer as a kid, and NEVER lost any kibble. Not one piece. I don't know how it happened since all my gi-joes suffered such extreme casualties and disgrace. The Transformers were all piled in boxes in my parents' basement until I rescued them...

Probably not the photographer's fault since that's pretty much the way he's packaged. Mine was displayed that way at home for a while until I looked at the instructions.

The magic of twisty ties

As I open transformers and unwind all the twisty ties that keep them securely in place, I often wonder just how those things are put on. I'm assuming there's not a machine that can just stick them in, especially since they're often woven around and through the figure. That leads me to think that the...
