Re: What TV shows are you watching thread.

And really, that sort of thing is old hat in both comics and television, so that alone isn't really enough to recommend the series. In the comics, the most interesting bit was Huey's conflict, something that I'm not entirely sure the show is really getting right as yet. Admittedly, it's thrown a few...

Re: Review Question

I think it could be useful for identification purposes, especially since TFU.info doesn't have anything for the last few years.

Re: What TV shows are you watching thread.

The Boys is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, a lot of the post-9/11 stuff feels almost quaint, and it's kind of funny how hard they have to work to shoehorn some of it in. However, some of the performances are quite good; Antony Starr's so good I'm in the process of checking out Banshee now.

Re:

Got through Cloak & Dagger, which I think has been excellent. The New Orleans setting and two leads have been great, the silly plot (hate 'mysterious previously undiscovered Earth energy thingy thing' rubbish) wasn't too bad and the show has been good fun. I don't know if you could do "Dru...

Yeah, it's got a surprising amount of space to play in.

Picked up Arkham Knight. Even if everything I've heard is true and it's the weakest of the "trilogy", that would still make it better than most.

I picked up Shadow of Mordor for $15 the other day, and I'm really liking it. A bit of a learning curve when you start, and I'm still not certain I'm doing things right, but I've only put in about an hour. SoM really shines when you start delving into the Orc hierarchy. By and large, the gameplay i...

I miss Night Court. Watching Cheers, I've seen the odd appearance of Harry Anderson as Harry the Hat, which is what I like to imagine Judge Harry does on his days off, and it's given me the desire to rewatch that series. John Larroquette, too, as I've been watching The Brink, and he really was at hi...

Honestly, even more than the random dismembering, stuff like the Dagobah scenes are pretty intense for younguns. The bit where Luke faces the image of Darth Vader was something I was freaked out by when I was a kid, but I had nightmares of raptors phasing through the walls post-Jurassic Park, so tak...
