Darksiders was a lot of fun so I will get around to 2 eventually. Mass Effect Trilogy is also on my wishlist. I've been wanting to give it a go for years but never gotten around to any of them. PS plus has Bioshock 2 for free at the mo, so I gave that a go today. It's...another FPS. So, does it pick...

I just watched the first couple of episodes and, I'm confused. Did Hans actually get some character development? edit: wow, they actually did. Not a lot, but enough to justify why Jez stays his mate. And no Sophie. Glad they took a break from her, really. A lot of great lines and laugh out loud mome...

They aren't all universal. Most are or at least will update the language based on your phone's settings but some aren't. For exmaple, Avengrs Initiative straight up isn't available in my region (no idea why), and GTA: Chinatown Wars is only available in Japanese, no English version on the store. Mos...

Speaking of iOS movie/TV tie-ins Predators is fairly decent. I think there's a free Lite version you can try too.

I'm quite into iPhone/Pad games but with so much available it can be a little hard to find the gems. Obviously Infinity Blade I and II, there's a remastered edition of Dizzy Prince of The Yolkfolk (doesn't take long to finish but it's great fun). Monster Hunter is also good (I heard it looks a bit u...

Decided to get myself The Dark Knight Rises and The Bard's Tale pack for the iPad. Bard's Tale is downloading(and may take awhile), TDKR is a lot of fun so far. Also got The Respawnables. TDKR is a bit clunky on an iPhone but I can see how it would work well on an iPad. If you like that I'd recomme...

Merry Christmas! I'm heading to work in a couple of hours myself, but it's only for a few hours today. Christmas here boils down to KFC and a strawberry shortcake. I have over the years figured out where to find a proper Christmas dinner or two.

I'm not defending the obvious idiocy, and I do almos completely agree with what Addl said. As Cliffy said about having collectables that can be liquidated like that is reassuring, and in fact, I did sell of most of my old school game collection after the bankruptcy to help me through. If I ever get ...

I used to live in a "haunted" house. People had often seen difficult to explain things. I did myself when I was a kid. I would put it down to tricks of light and shadow. The weird thing is people would often see fairly consistant apparitions in varying parts of the house. The logical side ...

Yeah, I've tried Eminem on it.

Playing with Dare to be Stupid is pretty good, incidentally.

I bought Dark Souls yesterday. Then I died a lot. It's incredibly unforgiving but a very interesting game so far.

There was, just as there's a booming art games scene now. Popular opinion at the time (from a mix of what I've read and what I remember growing up) is that movies were mindless entertainment that couldn't be compared to books or paintings. Whether or not games count as art in this context isn't a ca...

That's my main issue with him, especially when he freely admits that he's never played one or been interested in discussing it. That and his main arguements about being games is they "cannot evoke emotion", are "all about looks" and "lack depth" so they can be outright...

I'd agree about film critics, especially Ebert. The fact that he makes claims like video games are not and will never be art is also a good indicator that he isn't on the same page as the majority of the media-consuming public. Especially as it shows that he's forgotten that when he started out, mov...

I only consume media that other people tell me to. I don't even read reviews, I just go by the scores. Nah, obviously people who are that extreme are a bit daft. Outside of technical issues I don't really go by reviews, especially since my favourite critics are the ones who outwardly seem to hate ev...

If I ever have a boy I'm gunning for Max Logan. He'll grow into having such a manly name by all the childhood beatings he'll get because of it.

For a girl's name I would recommend Dave.

Edit: Oh, and Hound, water is wet.

Single. Got to say, talking to a bunch of married guys I teach today made me appreciate that it's better to stay single until someone who's decently in synch with you comes along. Those guys talk like they're on work release from prison. I kid you not, one guy said he dreams of being able to spend j...
